Consulting and solving employment problems for workers is an important task. The relevant agencies and localities have proposed many solutions, contributing to the completion of assigned goals and targets.
Job counseling for workers at the Provincial Employment Service Center.
Strengthening connection activities
According to the Provincial Employment Service Center, to have information about the labor market, the center closely coordinates with businesses inside and outside the province to collect and synthesize information about recruitment needs.
Since the beginning of the year, the center has received recruitment requests from 23 businesses, with a demand for over 7,600 workers, with positions such as: production manager, sales manager, technical manager; technical staff...
To strengthen the connection between labor supply and demand, the center has organized 26 job fairs with the participation of over 2,900 workers and 47 businesses. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuoc, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, emphasized: “Job fairs are increasingly effective, attracting a large number of workers, units and businesses inside and outside the province to participate. Thereby, opening up opportunities to help workers have more choices, find suitable jobs, increase income for themselves and their families; and businesses can also recruit workers, meeting production and business needs”.
In order to help workers access information quickly, the Provincial Employment Service Center has promoted the application of information technology in job consulting and introduction via social networks such as posting recruitment information of enterprises on the website, Facebook, and Zalo of the center. Thanks to that, workers can access information without having to go directly to the center.
Along with that, localities promote information about the labor market; create favorable conditions for units and businesses to recruit workers in the area. Mr. Phan Hoang Thanh, Vice Chairman of Ward III People's Committee, Vi Thanh City, said: "We review the labor force in the area, coordinate job counseling and introduction, and vocational training to help workers gain more necessary vocational skills. Through vocational training courses, not only do workers have solid skills but also open up many job opportunities at businesses in and outside the province."
Through consulting and job creation activities for workers, since the beginning of the year, the whole province has created jobs and new jobs for 9,420 people, reaching 62.8% of the yearly plan.
Promote sending workers to work abroad
Along with consulting and introducing domestic jobs, the Provincial Employment Service Center and localities have promoted propaganda and created sources to send workers to work abroad under contracts.
Ms. Le Thi Cam Gam, in Hamlet 3A, Vi Dong Commune, Vi Thuy District, shared: “After being informed about seasonal work in Korea, I researched information, registered for work and was selected. I hope this job will help my family improve their income and develop the economy , because my previous online sales job had unstable income.”
In carrying out the work of sending workers to work abroad, collaborators in communes, wards and towns in the province have actively promoted their roles. Everyone has directly propagated to the people the policies and guidelines on sending workers to work abroad; disseminated information about orders, labor markets, recruitment units... Thanks to that, people grasped specific and clear information and proactively registered to participate.
Ms. Le Thanh Ha, a collaborator in Hamlet 3A, Bay Ngan Town, Chau Thanh A District, said: “I often update information on recruiting occupations and salaries in high-income markets provided by the Provincial Employment Service Center to advise people, especially working-age workers. In my propaganda, I give specific examples of how families with relatives working abroad have improved their economic lives, information on the province's support policies, and the consequences of runaway workers. When families have questions, I explain clearly to reassure everyone.”
With flexible solutions in consulting and job creation, it has made an important contribution to socio-economic development, stabilizing and improving the lives of workers. In the coming time, continue to implement solutions to develop the labor market, provide labor market information. Promote consulting and job introduction activities, improve the efficiency of job exchanges, connect businesses. Implement vocational training for rural workers well...
