The Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency dismantled a facility producing and trading a large quantity of fake cosmetics owned by Nguyen Thi Dung.
Along with the fierce fight against smuggling crimes, the police force in the province has strengthened the work of grasping the situation, proactively preventing and promptly detecting, stopping and strictly handling acts of trading in counterfeit and fake goods. In particular, focusing on milk, medicine, functional foods; necessities such as: MSG, seasoning powder, cooking oil... In parallel with the inspection work, the police force also propagated and mobilized business households to sign a commitment to strictly comply with the provisions of the law; not to trade in counterfeit and poor quality goods, protecting the legitimate rights of consumers. In the first 5 months of 2025, the functional forces in the province inspected and handled 829 violations. Of which, 170 cases were transferred to the investigation agency for criminal prosecution. The total amount of money collected for the budget reached over 93 billion VND. Implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg on launching a peak period to fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, the authorities have detected 75 violations. Of which, 3 cases were transferred to criminal prosecution and 72 cases were handled for administrative violations. The fine amounted to more than 6.9 billion VND, of which, administrative fines were more than 3 billion VND, and tax arrears were more than 3.8 billion VND.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation on cyberspace, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency discovered that Nguyen Thi Dung often went on the social network tiktok to livestream selling cosmetics of many famous brands at very cheap prices. Using professional measures, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency coordinated with the Minh Son Commune Police and Market Management Team No. 6, the Provincial Market Management Department to inspect the house of Mr. TVD, born in 1962 in village 4, Minh Son commune - the location Nguyen Thi Dung rented to produce fake cosmetics; seized a large quantity of chemicals, solutions of various types of unknown origin, empty cosmetic containers and tools used to produce fake cosmetics. At the same time, conducting an inspection at Nguyen Thi Dung's house in Dong Khang village, Hop Thang commune, the authorities discovered and seized 256 bottles of fake cosmetics including 24 different types of cosmetics such as makeup remover, skin cream, acne serum, skin whitening cream... with fake labels of many famous cosmetics in the world . From the end of 2024 until her arrest, Nguyen Thi Dung sold fake products to customers in provinces and cities across the country with more than 1,000 orders with a total value of more than 142 million VND.
Previously, on May 21, 2025, Rung Thong Ward Police, Thanh Hoa City and Market Management Team No. 1, Provincial Market Management Department coordinated to inspect and discover and seize nearly 100 kg of food of unknown origin at Dao Sen store, located in Rung Thong Ward, owned by Ms. Dao Thi Sen. Through inspection, the authorities discovered that Dao Sen store was trading in goods including chicken, quail, egg yolk, sausage... with a quantity of nearly 100 kg. At the time of inspection, all of the above goods did not have invoices proving their origin...
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Deputy Head of the Economic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: "Determining the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods is one of the important and regular political tasks, therefore, in the coming time, the Provincial Police will continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the directives of the Government, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee 389. At the same time, proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle acts of illegal trading and transportation of goods. Along with that, continue to strengthen propaganda, dissemination, legal education, consultation and guidance for people and businesses to identify counterfeit and poor quality goods, thereby joining with local authorities to participate in the fight against and denounce crimes, contributing to ensuring security and order, and socio-economic development in the province.
