The partnership focuses on developing methods and capabilities for testing Physical Medium Attachments (PMA) for the GMSL2 interface, enabling engineers, designers and manufacturers to create high-quality, high-performance products that enhance driving safety and support new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Keysight is developing connectivity solutions for use in cars.
The demand for in-vehicle SerDes connectivity is growing with the proliferation of cameras and displays used in vehicles. Next-generation ADAS systems use high-resolution cameras and radars, requiring higher data rates and bandwidth. GMSL technology fully meets these needs, ensuring fast data transmission speeds for today’s and tomorrow’s connected vehicles.
Keysight has added GMSL2 transmission and channel measurement methods to its software solutions to address the challenges associated with higher speeds. This can reduce the time to test, debug, and characterize complex designs of multi-gigabit GMSL interfaces. As a result, the automotive ecosystem can efficiently validate and debug graphics devices, ensuring faster time to market.
“GMSL plays a critical role in our in-vehicle networking product portfolio,” said Thomas Goetzel, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Automotive and Energy Solutions business. “We look forward to providing the most comprehensive compliance application to support customers in this emerging ecosystem. Early stage work allows us to validate test methods, analyze quality, and provide feedback on device support for interoperability and compliance, accelerating the maturity of the entire test ecosystem.”
Keysight and ADI have a long-standing partnership across multiple technologies, including ORAN, phased array technology, and 6G. Together, the companies define test and validation methodologies on real devices and iterate across the entire ecosystem to help customers accelerate time to market and support product development.
The collaboration between Keysight and Adi marks a significant step forward in the standardization and validation of GMSL2 test methods, paving the way for safer and more advanced automotive systems.
