According to Circular No. 08/2026/TT-BKHCN dated March 31, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology , verifying mobile subscriber information is a mandatory requirement to ensure the accuracy of mobile subscriber user data, while also contributing to reducing the number of unregistered SIM cards and preventing high-tech fraud.
For users, this is an opportunity to proactively check the phone numbers registered with their personal information through the VneID application, thereby promptly detecting subscribers who are no longer in use or not under their management, and confirming officially used subscriber numbers, thus protecting personal information security in the digital environment.
According to regulations, starting April 15th, users nationwide will receive a notification on the VNeID application listing the phone numbers registered with their personal information. Users then simply need to access the application to confirm which phone numbers they are currently using or not using.
Subscribers whose current status is confirmed will complete the verification procedure as prescribed (for 12-digit ID cards, users only need to confirm their current status; for 9-digit ID cards, after confirmation, they need to update their subscriber information using the 12-digit ID card).
With a customer-centric philosophy, VinaPhone has prepared many flexible support channels for customers throughout the subscriber information verification process.
For new subscriber registrations, subscriber information changes, terminal device changes, or data standardization requests, customers can perform biometric authentication directly on the MyVNPT application or visit VinaPhone transaction points nationwide for direct assistance using their chip-embedded citizen ID card.
To verify subscriber information, customers need to have a VNeID account with level 2 identification or a chip-embedded citizen identification card, then choose one of the following three methods:
First, to access the VNeID application on their mobile phone, customers press "Access Function" on the home screen, enter the passcode, and then select "Phone Number".
Secondly, access the MyVNPT application and follow the instructions on the application. For details, see: https://digishop.vnpt.vn/tin-tuc-km/tu-van/huong-dan-xac-thuc-thong-tin-thue-bao-vinaphone-qua-vneid-va-cccd-gan-chip-theo-quy-dinh-moi-2026
Thirdly, go to the nearest VinaPhone transaction point with your chip-embedded citizen identification card or your level 2 VNeID account to receive assistance from the network staff.

VinaPhone customers abroad can remotely verify their subscriber information via the MyVNPT application combined with their chip-embedded citizen ID card, allowing them to complete procedures quickly, safely, and conveniently without returning to Vietnam, while maintaining seamless connectivity wherever they are.
In particular, for the elderly, those who do not use smartphones, people in remote areas, border regions, islands, or groups requiring special assistance, VinaPhone will coordinate with local police forces to organize direct verification support at their place of residence.
According to the roadmap, subscribers who have not completed verification, are not confirmed on VNeID, or whose information does not match the National Population Database will be notified and processed step by step, from temporarily suspending one-way to two-way service, and eventually revoking the number if they do not supplement the required information.
VinaPhone recommends that customers proactively download and access the MyVNPT application, check on the VneID application, and verify their subscriber information early to protect their personal information in the digital environment and ensure continuous and secure service usage.
