Foreign tourist dropped diamond ring, Hue people used flashlight to help find it

(Dan Tri) - On July 30, many people in Hue city went to the park area on the banks of the Huong River to help find the lost diamond ring of a foreign tourist couple.

On the morning of July 31, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism , said that they are checking the information of a foreign tourist couple who are suspected of dropping a valuable diamond ring while visiting and playing at 3/2 Park, Thuan Hoa Ward.

According to Ms. Tram, on July 30, Thuan Hoa Ward Police received the information and sent forces to support the search, but so far there have been no results.

According to Mr. Le Nhu Chinh, Director of Hue City Green Parks Center, the incident happened on the morning of July 30.

After learning that someone had dropped a ring at 3/2 Park, the workers on duty there helped search but to no avail.

The leaders of Hue City Green Park Center have informed workers that if they find any property, they need to return it to the owner.

Previously, social networking sites in Hue posted information and images of many people coming to the 3/2 Park area, on the banks of the Perfume River, to help search for the lost diamond ring of a New Zealand tourist couple.

Some articles stated that the diamond ring was worth more than 1 billion VND and the owner was willing to pay 20 million VND to the finder.

After the incident was posted on social media, the number of people coming to the park to search for the ring increased over time. Even after dark, many people continued to shine lights and cut through the grass to search for lost property for tourists.

Mr. Nhat Hoang, a member of the Hue Zero-Cost Car Team, shared information that the owner of the ring confirmed that the value of the ring is only about 60 million VND, but it has great spiritual significance.

This tourist couple is staying at a hotel on Nguyen Cong Tru Street and has sent their deep thanks to the people of Hue for their kindness and enthusiastic help.
