Previously, in the group stage, PVF lost 2-4 to Hanoi. However, in the decisive match, coach Nguyen Duy Dong and his team had prepared carefully to show a completely different side.

PVF took the initiative to enter the game with a tight defense and quick counter-attack strategy. This style of play helped the home team control the midfield well and minimize Hanoi's attacks.

The solidity of the defense was the launching pad for PVF to launch sharp counterattacks. In the 31st minute, Trong Hiep took advantage of the opportunity in the penalty area, firing a decisive shot to open the score for PVF.

In the second half, although Hanoi pushed up their formation to find an equalizer, PVF's well- organized defense continued to show their superiority. In that match, Bao Anh's goal to seal the 2-0 win in the 75th minute was an affirmation of the bravery and effectiveness of the red team's playing style.
