Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, VFF Deputy General Secretary Nguyen Minh Chau, Head of the tournament organizing committee, emphasized: "Organizing youth tournaments plays an important role for Vietnamese football at both the national team and club levels. Youth tournaments such as the National U15 tournament will create opportunities for players to develop their skills. They need to demonstrate their mettle, aspiration and football mindset, proving that they are worthy of being selected for the youth team in the future. Younger players also take this as an example to strive for, aiming for professional tournaments."

“Regarding the work of monitoring young players in the final round of the 2025 National U15 Football Championship, VFF always pays attention. Recently, VFF has invited Japanese expert Ikeuchi Yutaka. Mr. Ikeuchi Yutaka and VFF youth football training experts are present at the PVF Youth Football Training Center to monitor young players. VFF always coordinates with clubs and coaches to select and evaluate athletes most accurately through this tournament,” Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau emphasized.

According to the format, the teams compete in a round robin to determine the ranking points, selecting the 3 group winners, 3 group runners-up and 2 third-placed teams with the best results to advance to the quarter-finals. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played in a knockout format. If after the official match time (90 minutes) the score ends in a draw, a penalty shootout will be held to determine the winning team.
