Ho Chi Minh City disburses public investment capital of more than 73,800 billion VND

As of December 5, the total disbursement of public investment capital in Ho Chi Minh City reached nearly 73,812 billion VND, reaching 61% of the capital plan assigned by the Government.

On the afternoon of December 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference on the situation and progress of key projects and public investment disbursement in the city in 2025.

Party Central Committee Secretary, Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary Tran Luu Quang chaired the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the city has completed the assignment and detailed allocation of public investment capital according to the Prime Minister's assigned capital level of VND 153,615 billion.

As of December 5, the city's total disbursement of public investment capital was nearly VND 73,812 billion; of which, the disbursement of the 2025 capital plan was nearly VND 73,346 billion, reaching 61% of the plan and if not counting the additional allocation plan after September 30, the city's disbursement rate reached 61.7% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister; reaching 47.7% of the capital plan the city has deployed.

With this result, Ho Chi Minh City has a disbursement rate higher than the national average reported by the Ministry of Finance in the first 11 months of the year at 59.7%.

There are 5/10 boards with good disbursement rates, higher than the city's average, including: Urban Railway Management Board reaching 75%; Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board reaching 74.3%; Agriculture and Rural Development Project Management Board reaching 65.1%; Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board reaching 55.3%, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Traffic and Civil Project Management Board reaching 52.1%.

There are 5/10 boards with disbursement rates slower than the city's average, including: Board of Management of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works reaching 41.1%; Board of Management of Regional Traffic Projects and Specialized Agriculture in Ba Ria - Vung Tau reaching 33.8%; Board of Management of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic Works in Binh Duong reaching 22%; Board of Management of Investment Projects for Construction of Binh Duong reaching 14.8%; Board of Management of Specialized Wastewater Projects reaching 7.9%.

Besides, 20/37 boards have good disbursement rate and 17/37 boards have slow disbursement rate compared to the city average.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, as of December 7, disbursement of public investment capital for compensation and site clearance work reached 62.7% (nearly VND 36,821 billion).

In order to promote the disbursement of public investment capital, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has established 3 working groups on investment capital disbursement to conduct field inspections at construction sites and organize local meetings according to the motto "decide on the spot, resolve on the spot".
