FPT Play said the deal was made through cooperation with Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) and Monomax - the copyright owners of the English Premier League in the markets of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. This is the content stated by FPT Play in a press release sent to the media.

Sharing with the press, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom - said: "The Premier League is one of the few football tournaments that has been present very early and has a great influence in Vietnam. With the advantage of broadcasting infrastructure and technology platform, FPT Play aims to improve the football viewing experience of domestic audiences."

Notably, FPT Play's ownership of the Premier League copyright was announced in the context of Chelsea FC establishing a global partnership with FPT Group in April 2025.

In addition to broadcasting matches, FPT Play is planning to deploy additional features such as personalizing the viewer experience, displaying favorite club badges, and some quick review features of in-match situations.

Previously, FPT Play announced that it owned the copyright of many other major tournaments such as FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, tournaments of the European Football Federation (UEFA), Asian Football Confederation (AFC), NBA, eSports World Cup... Owning the copyright of the Premier League is considered a step to expand the sports content portfolio in the direction that FPT Play is pursuing.
