The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is implementing the project and draft Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

VHO - On the afternoon of August 1, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh chaired a meeting to deploy the development of the Project and draft Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant Departments, Offices, Institutes and Units.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that on July 28, the Government Party Committee Office sent Official Dispatch No. 768- CV/VPĐU to Party Committee Secretary and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung on the drafting of the Politburo Resolution on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh chaired the meeting to deploy the development of the Project and draft Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

According to the Government Party Committee Office, the Central Party Office issued Document No. 16150-CV/VPTW dated July 19, 2025, informing the opinion of the Standing Secretariat on the policy of building the Politburo Resolution Project on Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era; informing the opinion of the member of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh as follows:

According to the Decision on assignment of work, it is requested that the Party Secretary and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism direct the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and closely coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, ministries, localities and relevant agencies to urgently develop and complete the draft Resolution of the Politburo on Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era; report to the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to report to the Government Party Committee in September 2025 for comments and direction to complete and submit to the Politburo in the fourth quarter of 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Standing Secretariat in Document No. 16150-CV/VPTW.

Also according to the Permanent Deputy Minister, implementing the direction of the Party Central Committee member, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung in Official Dispatch No. 3806/BVHTTDL-VP dated August 1, 2025, assigned the task of Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh to urgently direct the units to develop the Plan, establish the Drafting Committee of the Project and draft the Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

The Permanent Deputy Minister clearly assigned tasks, established progress, and carefully prepared documents in the following directions:

Conduct a comprehensive review of all policies, guidelines, resolutions, directives, conclusions of the Party and the system of legal documents of the State on the fields of culture, information, sports and tourism that have been issued; on the basis of a general assessment of the results achieved and identification of bottlenecks and knots that have not been resolved, clarifying the objective and subjective causes.

On that basis, propose a plan to inherit and supplement new arguments, viewpoints and a system of breakthrough solutions, ensuring feasibility and clear action directions for the development of the Ministry and the entire Industry towards the goal of 100 years of founding the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930 - 2030) and 100 years of founding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945 - 2045).

The Permanent Deputy Minister said that the Ministry's leaders clearly identified this as an important political task, which the General Secretary and other Party and State leaders pay special attention to; therefore, the work must be carried out urgently and decisively.

"The issued resolution will contribute to enhancing the position of the Ministry and the Industry, determining the direction, long-term vision, and strategy for cultural development" - Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh clearly stated.

The Deputy Minister said that the progress of completing the draft report of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry before September 15, 2025; then continue to complete it and submit it to the Government Party Committee and the Politburo in the fourth quarter of 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Standing Secretariat.

According to the plan to implement the project, on August 5, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will establish the Project Drafting Committee; the Deputy Minister will assign the Ministry's Office to develop a detailed assignment plan and complete it on August 6; and assign the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism to develop a detailed outline and complete it on August 6.
