HBSF Final 2025: Honoring Tran Quyet Chien and Duong Quoc Hoang

VHO - Two of the most famous names in Vietnamese Billiards, Tran Quyet Chien (Carom 3-cushion) and Duong Quoc Hoang (Pool 9-cushion), have excellently won the final round of the HBSF - MIN Table Championship 2025 (HBSF Final 2025).

The focus of the final competition day on December 5th will be on the 4 final matches in all 4 categories: Men's 3-Cushion Carom, Women's 3-Cushion Carom, Men's 9-Cushion Pool and Women's 9-Cushion Pool.

In the final match of the Men's Carom 3-Cushion, Tran Quyet Chien defeated Nguyen Nhat Hoa with a score of 50-33 after 15 rounds to win the championship. The tournament witnessed the sublime performance of Vietnam's number 1 player.

Previously in the quarterfinals, Quyet Chien caused a stir with a 40-9 victory after only 9 rounds against Nguyen Nhu Le. Even in the first half, he brought the match into halftime with a 20-2 lead after only the first 2 rounds.

In the semi-finals, Quyet Chien defeated World Cup champion Tran Thanh Luc with a score of 50-34 after 21 rounds.

Vietnam's No. 1 Carom 3-Cushion player deservedly won the championship

In addition to the trophy and 100 million VND bonus for the champion, Quyet Chien also won the Best Game title worth 5 million VND with an efficiency of 4,444 points/turn scored in the match against Nhu Le.

In the final of the men's 9-ball Pool, Duong Quoc Hoang and Pham Phuong Nam created an exciting tug-of-war. When the score was 8-8, Quoc Hoang took advantage of his junior's mistakes to win 3 consecutive games, thereby winning 11-8 overall.

With this result, Duong Quoc Hoang received the cup and 70 million VND. Runner-up Pham Phuong Nam received 30 million VND. The two third-place players, Nguyen Van Hung Phu and Ho Minh Hanh, received 10 million VND. The positions from 5th to 8th received 3 million VND.

Bui Xuan Vang continued to prove his absolute strength in the women's 9-ball Pool event when he defeated Le Hong Nhung with a score of 8-4 in the final match, thereby receiving the championship cup, 20 million VND and a J-Flowers competition cue.

Notably, in the women's 3-cushion Carom category, the HBSF Tour system has the first championship belonging to a foreign player. Specifically, Korean female player Choi Bome beat compatriot Park Jihyun with a score of 30-19 after 26 rounds to win the title.

Also at the Closing Ceremony, HBSF awarded Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu with the 1st place on the HBSF Carom rankings in 2025 with a cue stick from the Million brand.

Pool player Ngo Hong Thang is the best player on the HBSF Pool rankings in 2025 and received a cue stick from the J-Flowers brand.

Thus, after 5 days of organization, the 2025 HBSF MIN Table Championship ended successfully with attractive, surprising and highly professional matches.
