Quang Ninh Provincial Leaders Welcome International Delegation to Visit Ha Long Bay in the First Months of 2024

On March 24, information from the Ha Long Bay Management Board, Quang Ninh province said that from the beginning of 2024 until now, Ha Long Bay has welcomed a total of 611,139 visitors, of which international visitors reached 529,507 (6.4 times higher than domestic visitors).

According to the Ha Long Bay Management Board, the number of visitors staying at the heritage bay reached 144,949, including 9,203 domestic visitors and 135,746 international visitors from countries such as Korea, India, Europe, America, etc.

Total revenue from ticket sales to visit the bay since the beginning of the year has reached over 196.4 billion VND.

With unique natural scenery and outstanding global values ​​in geology and geomorphology, these are the factors that attract domestic and foreign tourists to Ha Long Bay.

To promote heritage values, products and experiences in Ha Long Bay are regularly renewed, diversified and upgraded.

The cruise system on the bay is newly invested, classy, ​​modern with international standard service quality.

Mr. Doan Manh Tuan - head of Conservation Center 1 under the Ha Long Bay Management Board - said that to ensure the bay's environment, the unit requires all service points to only sell canned water or water in glass bottles, not providing disposable plastic bottles.

"Currently, the amount of plastic waste collected daily has basically decreased. We also arranged a system of trash bins along the roads at tourist attractions and the green tree company collected them at the end of the day, actively promoting tourists to join hands to protect the bay environment and not use plastic waste" - Mr. Tuan shared.
