Opening 65 literacy classes in border communes

BHG - Implementing the illiteracy eradication work in the border areas of the province by 2025, as of May 19, the whole province has opened and organized 65 literacy classes with nearly 1,500 students participating. It is expected that in the near future, 25 more classes will be opened with more than 550 students registered.

According to the provincial Departmentof Education and Training, all 7 districts with border communes have implemented classes, of which Yen Minh district has the highest number of classes with 16 classes and 372 students. In general, in the past time, localities have actively investigated and screened illiterate subjects, developed detailed plans to implement illiteracy eradication work according to each route to each village; effectively propagated the importance of literacy, mobilized illiterate people to participate in literacy classes; organized opening ceremonies and had learners sign commitments to participate in studying and completing the course.

In the coming time, the provincial Department of Education and Training will continue to guide, inspect and supervise the implementation of literacy classes in the districts to ensure proper implementation of the program, progress and teaching quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; proactively coordinate with relevant units, continue to propose to the Ministry of Education and Training to have a plan to print and provide literacy teaching materials for teachers and students, in order to improve the effectiveness and quality of literacy work in the locality.
