Participating in guiding the professional training course of the Vietnam Journalists Association was journalist Ngo Tran Thinh - Head of the Digital News Content Department - Ho Chi Minh City Television Station. This course also attracted 50 participants, including reporters and editors from media agencies in the South.
Attending and giving the opening speech at the course, journalist Tran Trong Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South - emphasized the importance of AI and GPT chat technology for journalism. Therefore, the course will focus on the trends in applying these technologies and sharing experiences in applying AI and GPT chat in journalistic activities.
50 trainees from media agencies in the South participated in the course.
The Vice President of the Journalists Association stated that the application of AI and GPT Chat is an inevitable trend that is strongly developing in most socio -economic fields today. This is also a field that reacts sensitively to all changes in socio-economic life, and the press and media play a crucial role in this context. In this situation, the press must proactively innovate its methods of delivery, providing new experiences for readers through digital technology applications.
Faced with the current explosion in speed, quantity, and scale of information consumption, media organizations are becoming overwhelmed if they continue with traditional methods. To address this problem, many news organizations have used artificial intelligence to change the way they produce, organize, classify, publish, and distribute news content across different platforms, thereby gradually transforming the user experience in terms of both content and format towards a smarter approach.
However, the application of artificial intelligence, especially ChatGPT, is currently presenting many opportunities as well as challenges, particularly for journalists and managers. Therefore, this course will equip participants with essential knowledge that they can effectively apply in their work.

It is understood that in this course, participants will be introduced to the capabilities of AI and its application in broadcast journalistic products. Participants will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of AI, thereby creating effective applications of this technology in their work. After grasping the content on AI applications, participants will directly engage in practical exercises to apply this new technology to produce journalistic products, thereby gaining practical experience.
