The World Mathematics Invitational (WMI) was founded by Mr. Kun Lung Tsai, President of the Chinese Mathematical Society, and Mr. Quan Lam, Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2013. The competition connects academies andeducational institutions from around the world, bringing together thousands of candidates from more than 20 countries and regions. The competition aims to find and nurture students with outstanding mathematical abilities, while creating opportunities for them to exchange, learn, develop creative thinking and comprehensive problem-solving skills.

At the National Round of the WMI 2025 International Mathematics Competition, the Organizing Committee was honored to welcome the presence of leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, representatives of district and county education departments, and the Board of Directors of primary, secondary and high schools in the city.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Cai Viet Long - representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: The WMI International Mathematics Competition not only comprehensively assesses students' Mathematical abilities, but also contributes to developing logical thinking and math solving skills in English, while opening up opportunities to exchange, learn and connect with international friends who share the same passion for Mathematics.

To encourage the candidates before the exam, Mr. Dang Tran Xuan - Deputy Head of Secondary Education Department, Hanoi Department of Education and Training, sent meaningful words of encouragement to the candidates: "Believe in yourself, stay calm, focus, and enter the exam with a happy and open mind to learn and experience."

This year, Oxbridge Education Group Joint Stock Company took on the role of the Organizing Committee of the WMI 2025 International Mathematics Competition in Vietnam. With professional preparation in all stages, from facilities, personnel to organization process, strict security of exam questions, the National round took place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.

The WMI 2025 International Mathematics Competition – National Round in Vietnam attracted nearly 400 contestants from primary, secondary and high schools in Hanoi.
