On the evening of October 18, the opening ceremony of the Song Festival took place at the stadium of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with the message “One touch - Ten thousand beliefs”. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc attended the opening ceremony and directed the event.

This is a highlight activity within the framework of the 5th Vietnam Card Day Campaign co-organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), under the content direction of the State Bank of Vietnam .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said: This is not only a vibrant festival for young people but also a forum for leaders, managers and people to see the important achievements of the banking and financial sectors in the national digital transformation process.

This is the 5th time since 2020 that Tien Phong Newspaper has organized this event. Up to now, Vietnam Card Day has spread its creativity as a community communication mark of Tien Phong Newspaper in collaboration with NAPAS.

“The numbers speak for themselves with hundreds of thousands of cashless technology experiences at Song Festival, tens of millions of views on social media platforms showing the practical benefits of cashless payments. This is the consumer trend of the times, the trust of society in card payments and digital payments. Today's Festival takes place at the right time to summarize 5 years (2021-2025) to develop cashless payments even more meaningfully,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the success of Vietnam Card Day has contributed to the implementation of the Government 's national financial inclusion strategy until 2025 and vision to 2030. Accordingly, we strive to achieve the target of at least 80% of adults having a cashless transaction account, growing 20-25%/year. The theme "One touch - Thousands of trusts" not only emphasizes technology but also conveys the message of trust, safety, efficiency and savings to the public with legal regulations and a solid security foundation to protect people and businesses.

Affirming that cashless payment is an inevitable and irreversible trend, the main flow in payment that Vietnam has caught up with very quickly, the Deputy Prime Minister said: The Government welcomes and encourages the Vietnam Card Day program organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and NAPAS. This is a practical activity to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the banking and financial sectors and relevant units to focus on investing in technology and digital infrastructure and quickly increase and popularize cashless payment points nationwide in all business and trading sectors; strengthen security and safety measures, ensuring maximum benefits and rights of customers using cashless payment technology; expand and strengthen international connectivity and integration; promote training and development of digital human resources; strengthen propaganda, dissemination and training of knowledge and skills in modern payment.

According to Deputy Governor of the State Bank Pham Tien Dung: Vietnam's banking industry has been achieving outstanding results in digital transformation and innovation. With the close guidance of the Party, Government and State Bank, along with the continuous efforts of credit institutions and technology enterprises, Vietnam has built a modern, safe and effective payment infrastructure.

Advanced technologies such as QR Code, mobile payment, biometrics have been widely applied to improve service quality, optimize processes and create new values ​​for customers. In recent years, the rate of non-cash payments has grown strongly, contributing to transparency of transactions, reducing social costs and promoting digital economic growth.

At the opening ceremony, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper also affirmed: From 2020 to now, Vietnam Card Day has become a meaningful annual event, contributing to spreading the habit of cashless payment in society. Through each season, Vietnam Card Day has left deep impressions - not only on policy makers, economic experts, banks, technology enterprises - but also on millions of people, especially young people - the pioneering force on the journey of national digital transformation.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of NAPAS - Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee shared: This year, NAPAS continues to coordinate with banks and partners to introduce a series of modern payment solutions such as Tap & Pay, VietQR Pay, VietQR Global... These technologies help consumers pay with just one touch, quickly, conveniently and safely, not only domestically but also expanding to the regional and international scope.

During the two days of the event (October 18 and 19), the Song Festival stage will be continuously operating with 5 technology and art performance slots, bringing a series of lively interactive experiences from banks and performance groups from universities. An anticipated highlight is the music night "Touch Vietnam" - held for the first time within the framework of Vietnam Card Day. This is a music program combining digital technology and performing arts. All tickets for the music night are given to students.

In addition, charity activities continue to be one of the important highlights of Song Festival. In addition to a part of the funding donated by the Organizing Committee, Vietnam Card Day 2025 calls on the community to join hands in contributing through charity account number 1611 at Military Bank - MB. The public can directly follow the list of benefactors published on the charity app.

After 4 seasons, Vietnam Card Day has supported funds to overcome natural disasters and fires, donated 4 computer classrooms with nearly 100 computers, dozens of scholarships and hundreds of gifts to schools in remote areas with a total value of more than 1 billion VND. Continuing that meaningful community activity, the Organizing Committee hopes that units, organizations and the community will join hands to mobilize resources to continue donating computer classrooms to disadvantaged children.
