Opening of Son La Province's Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025

On the evening of August 21, at Co.opmart Le Hong Phong Supermarket (Ngo Quyen Ward), the People's Committee of Son La province coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Phong city to organize the opening ceremony of the Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Director of Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade; Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, Director of Son La Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; and representatives of departments, branches, units and enterprises of the two localities.

The Son La Province Safe Food and Agricultural Products Week in Hai Phong took place from August 21 to 24, with 40 booths displaying and introducing typical agricultural products, safe food, OCOP products and rural industrial products of Son La province.

The event aims to expand the market for agricultural products, contributing to concretizing the Memorandum of Understanding on comprehensive cooperation for the period 2022 - 2025 between Hai Phong City Party Committee and Son La Provincial Party Committee. This is also an opportunity to promote the brand, boost the consumption of Son La agricultural products in supermarkets and shopping centers, and connect with domestic and foreign processing and exporting enterprises.

Son La is currently the province with the largest agricultural area in the Northwest region, with more than 85,000 hectares of fruit trees; the output in 2025 is estimated to reach 510,000 tons. By July 2025 alone, the output consumed had reached over 280,000 tons, worth nearly 3,000 billion VND.

The Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong is expected to help consumers access quality, safe, traceable agricultural products; at the same time, create a bridge between farmers, cooperatives, businesses and distributors, expand the domestic market and aim for export.
