Opening of Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025: Promoting digital transformation cooperation

Besides introducing core and breakthrough technologies of digital technology enterprises, Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025 will discuss in depth to remove policy bottlenecks; promote digital transformation and technological transformation.

On the morning of May 27 in Hanoi , the Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025 organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) officially opened.

The event will take place on May 27-28, 2025 with the theme "Mastering Technology - Breakthrough, Growing."

Removing policy bottlenecks, promoting digital transformation

Speaking at the opening of the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - Chairman of VINASA, General Director of FPT Corporation, emphasized that never before in the history of development, science, technology and digital transformation have been placed in a central position as they are today in the national development strategy.

According to Mr. Khoa, Vietnam has entered a new phase, where science and technology have become the key driving force of growth. "After the fierce years of war, through the period of renovation, we, the predecessors, have chosen the path of developing science and technology in the new era. It was a difficult but also very decisive choice. Today's revolution is not only about technology, but also about people with the core force being young engineers ready to break through, contributing to the journey of national development."

In the context of strong global digital transformation, Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are gradually affirming their position with the spirit of mastering technology, creating Vietnamese intellectual products and solutions, and constantly innovating to reach out to regional and international markets.

Besides introducing core and breakthrough technologies of digital technology enterprises, Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025 will discuss in depth: Resolving policy bottlenecks; promoting digital transformation, technology transformation, developing digital infrastructure, green-smart production; exploiting the power of AI, digital data resources, discussing issues of cooperation in the Asian region in the context of strong technology development and geopolitical fluctuations... Digital technology enterprises are striving to master technology not only to make breakthroughs for themselves, but also to drive breakthroughs for the entire economy in the era of national development.

Promoting Vietnam-Asia digital transformation cooperation for growth

Asia-Pacific is currently the leading region for digital economic growth. According to IDC, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to spend more than $1 trillion on digital transformation by 2025. Countries in the Asian region are prioritizing a number of key technologies to promote economic growth and digital transformation such as AI, green and smart technology, 5G and network infrastructure, and blockchain.

Vietnam currently has more than 1,000 digital technology enterprises exporting services to major markets such as the US, Japan, Europe, South Korea, and Australia, generating billions of dollars in revenue each year.

According to Resolution 57 of the Politburo, Vietnam aims to be in the top 3 in ASEAN and top 50 globally in digital competitiveness and e-government development, with 5 enterprises reaching the world level by 2030 and 10 enterprises by 2045.

Vietnam-ASIA DX Summit 2025 is an important event to connect businesses, governments and domestic and international technology organizations to cooperate and "Win" together.

With 9 conference sessions, more than 100 speakers and more than 2,500 domestic and foreign delegates attending, in-depth discussions on policies, research, and cooperation in developing strategic technologies: AI, IoT, big data, cyber security, infrastructure and energy, green-smart manufacturing, international cooperation and experience.

Thematic seminars demonstrating advanced digital solutions, digital technology exhibitions and the Investment and Cooperation Connection (business matching) program provide opportunities for effective meetings and exchanges between businesses and the state, between domestic businesses and international partners every year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - Chairman of VINASA, said that "The journey for Vietnam to become a developed digital nation, a technology center in the region still has many challenges, from developing high-quality human resources, perfecting institutions to enhancing global competitiveness. However, with the convergence of favorable conditions: a clear national strategy, breakthrough policies, increasingly mature business capacity and a large domestic market, the opportunity for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to 'breakthrough and grow' is extremely bright."

To turn opportunities into reality, Mr. Khoa proposed that joint action is needed. Specifically, on the Government side: Continue to improve the legal corridor; Increase investment in digital infrastructure and human resource training. On the Business side: Need to boldly invest more in R&D, focus on core technologies and product quality; Strengthen cooperation and association to create combined strength and together conquer larger markets.

On the social side, Mr. Khoa proposed the need to build a digital culture, encourage innovation and accept new business models.

"Vietnam is holding its own technological destiny in its hands. By mastering technology and taking advantage of opportunities from comprehensive digital transformation, digital technology enterprises not only contribute to the prosperity of the country but can also put Vietnam on the world technology map," said the Chairman of VINASA./.
