The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just decided to resume operations at four airports in the Central region.
According to the meteorological forecast at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, 2024 of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Aviation Meteorological Center on the impact of storm No. 6 (storm Trami), the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just decided to resume normal operations of incoming/outgoing aircraft at 4 airports in the Central region.
Four airports in Da Nang , Phu Bai, Chu Lai and Dong Hoi will resume operations on October 27 (Illustration photo).
Specifically, Da Nang International Airport and Phu Bai International Airport will resume operations from 4:00 p.m. on October 27; Chu Lai Airport will resume operations from 1:00 p.m. on October 27 and Dong Hoi Airport will resume operations from 5:00 p.m. on October 27, 2024 (local time).
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, the eye of the storm was located at approximately 16.3 degrees North latitude; 108.2 degrees East longitude, on the coastal area of Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang. The strongest wind near the eye of the storm is level 9 (75-88 km/h), gusting to level 12. Moving southwest at a speed of 15-20 km/h. The storm's developments are still complicated and are expected to change.
Previously, to ensure safe operations at airports in the face of the complicated developments of storm Trami, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam decided to temporarily suspend receiving and operating aircraft at Phu Bai International Airport (from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on October 27); at Da Nang International Airport (from 6:00 a.m. on October 27 to 4:00 a.m. on October 28); at Dong Hoi Airport (from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 27) and at Chu Lai Airport (from 10:00 a.m. on October 27 to 10:00 a.m. on October 28).
