Opening of the high-quality train "Hoa Phuong Do" to Hai Phong

The "Red Flamboyant" train is a tourist product bearing the distinctive mark of the port city, becoming a new choice for tourists when coming to Hai Phong.

On the morning of May 10, Hai Phong City coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to organize a ceremony to announce Hai Phong Station as a "Tourist Destination" and launch the high-quality train "Hoa Phuong Do".

This is the first time the railway industry has put into operation a 34-seat VIP carriage, with an Indochinese-style interior. The 56-seat carriage is equipped with new-generation seats that can rotate 180 degrees, so passengers do not have to worry about sitting in the opposite direction when the train is running. In addition, the train also has standard 64-seat carriages, applying flexible fares to meet the diverse travel needs of customers.

The launch of the high-quality train “Hoa Phuong Do” demonstrates the strong determination of the Railway industry in renewing thinking, constantly improving service quality and increasing experience value, thereby making the railway a top choice for the green tourism trend.

According to the leader of Vietnam Railway Corporation, on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, Vietnam Railway is organizing regular operation of 4 pairs of trains/day. On weekends, holidays, and Tet when travel demand increases, the railway industry organizes 6 pairs of trains/day to serve people and tourists; organizing daily passenger trains between the two cities of Hanoi - Hai Phong serves the travel needs of people and tourists, contributing to increasing the number of tourists to Hai Phong city.

In 2023, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of train passengers in Hai Phong will grow again. The number of passengers arriving and departing by train in 2023 will reach 916,706 people, and in 2024 it will reach 970,369 people.

This event is also an opportunity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025).
