The 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025-2030, was held from October 15 to 17 at the National Convention Center.

The Congress has the task of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress (2020-2025); deciding on the goals, directions, and tasks of building and developing the Capital for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045; electing the Executive Committee of the 18th Hanoi Party Committee, electing the delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee has a particularly important meaning, guiding the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all walks of life in the capital to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and be determined to build a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern - Happy" capital, pioneering with the whole country into a new era, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the country's development goals by 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Dao Xuan Dung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee, Director of the Press Center, said that the Press Center serving the 18th Congress of the City Party Committee was established with modern equipment, demonstrating the attention and creation of all favorable conditions of the Hanoi City leaders for press information work, contributing significantly to maximum support for reporters of press agencies to work, updating information directly, fully, conveniently and officially about the activities and atmosphere of the Congress to the people of the Capital and the whole country.

The Press Center will officially operate from today until October 17 at the National Convention Center. The Organizing Committee will issue a press release after the congress sessions and hold a press conference to inform about the results of the Congress on October 17.
