RACH TRAM FISHING VILLAGE

Rach Tram fishing village is located in the north of Phu Quoc Island and is almost completely isolated from the outside world. After the development of tourism , Rach Tram fishing village welcomes visitors to explore and discover. The most impressive thing about Rach Tram is its peaceful atmosphere and the friendly, cheerful, and enthusiastic people. Visitors to Rach Tram fishing village can admire the beautiful natural scenery and enjoy delicious fresh seafood. Besides its beautiful scenery, Rach Tram fishing village also attracts tourists with its rich flora. Visitors can kayak along the Rach Tram river to explore the beauty of the pristine forest. In the afternoon, visitors can lie in hammocks, listen to the sound of the waves, and breathe in the fresh air.

RACH VEM FISHING VILLAGE

Located more than 20km north of Duong Dong ward on the island, Rach Vem fishing village is known as a pristine landscape of floating wooden bridges, houses on the sea, and red starfish. Besides immersing themselves in nature and discovering starfish, visitors to Rach Vem can swim, explore the floating houses, enjoy seafood, experience fishing with local fishermen, and admire the breathtaking sunset.

Ganh Dau Fishing Village

Located north of Phu Quoc Island, the fishing village of Ganh Dau boasts a pristine beauty, a blend of lush green forests and the vast, turquoise sea. To reach Ganh Dau fishing village, visitors pass through Cua Duong and Cua Can, then travel approximately 20km along a red dirt road through the Phu Quoc primary forest, continuing northwest. Here, the simple, rustic daily life of the fishermen is still preserved. The village features long stretches of shimmering golden sand and towering rock formations. From Ganh Dau Cape, visitors can even see across to Cambodia. Here, visitors can also enjoy delicious seafood.

HAM NINH FISHING VILLAGE

Ham Ninh fishing village, the most famous in Phu Quoc City, is located at the foot of Ham Ninh mountain, 20km northeast of Duong Dong ward center. Although the number of tourists visiting the fishing village decreased after the pier leading to the floating houses was destroyed, it remains an attractive destination due to its reputation. Here, visitors can not only enjoy the famous Ham Ninh crab but also explore the simple life of the local people.

TRAN PHU FISHING VILLAGE

Tran Phu fishing village, located in Duong Dong ward (Phu Quoc city), vividly portrays the everyday life of coastal fishermen. Recently, this fishing village has attracted many tourists. The people of Tran Phu fishing village are enthusiastic, cheerful, and often help each other with their work. At dawn, from the open sea, fishing boats, squid-catching boats, and net-fishing boats, after a night at sea, line up to return to shore. The locals paddle their basket boats out to transport the fish and shrimp to sell to tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, originally from Quang Ngai , migrated to Phu Quoc and has lived in Tran Phu fishing village for 30 years. "I don't know when this fishing village was established, but most of the people here come from the central and northern provinces, and they live with kindness and affection for each other," Ms. Tham said.

HON SON FISHING VILLAGE

Nestled along the coast of Bai Bac hamlet, Lai Son island commune (Kien Hai district), the morning at Hon Son fishing village is bustling with boats and ships docking. On the shore, many young men carry nets ashore for women to sort, extracting crabs, squid, and fish to sell to customers. To witness the early morning fishing season, visitors should arrive around 6 a.m. when boats begin returning to the beach to sell crabs, squid, and fish to locals, tourists, and buyers on the mainland. After exploring the fishing village life, visitors can enjoy many more exciting activities on Hon Son, such as conquering Ma Thien Lan peak, kayaking, snorkeling to admire coral reefs, fishing, and savoring delicious seafood and fruits like mangoes, jackfruit, and coconuts.

The Hon Son fishing village is nestled along the coastline of Bai Bac hamlet, Lai Son island commune.

HON MAU FISHING VILLAGE

One of the most enjoyable experiences when visiting Hon Mau fishing village in Nam Du commune (Kien Hai district) is spending a day as a fisherman. Visitors can paddle a boat and fish like the locals, learn about fishing techniques, pull in the nets, remove the fish, and enjoy a hot, delicious seafood porridge on the boat. In Hon Mau, visitors can wake up early in the morning, admire the sunrise, and listen to the gentle sound of the waves. The morning air in the fishing village is cool and fresh; visitors can close their eyes, take a deep breath, and enjoy moments of relaxation…
