The Korean movie "Love Classmates" revolves around the special relationship between the personality girl Jae-hee and Heung-soo - a handsome but quiet boy.
One of the latest Korean films that is winning the hearts of Vietnamese audiences is “Love in Big City” . The film officially premiered on November 8, revolving around the themes of friendship and contemporary society with a humorous and touching approach.
“Schoolmates in Love” revolves around the special relationship between the personality-driven Jae-hee and the handsome but quiet Heung-soo. When Jae-hee accidentally discovers the secret that Heung-soo is gay, their friendship is put into great jeopardy.
Because Korean society is not open to the “third gender,” this becomes the boy’s biggest inferiority complex. Jae-hee’s open-minded and somewhat reckless lifestyle has also caused her to be judged as indecent many times, especially in love.
This is also the factor that brings the two closer together. Jae-hee and Heung-soo connect through drinking to forget their sorrows and sympathy, always protecting each other, overcoming old social prejudices. The inner world of both opens up with the hope of creating empathy and healing for the audience.
“Love Schoolmates” has sold copyrights to 45 countries and was invited to attend 6 international film festivals, notably the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Here, audiences all had positive responses to the film.
The female and male lead characters - Kim Go Eun and Steve Sanghyun Noh - show their skillful acting. Both are young faces who are loved in Korea. The youthfulness of the couple and the meaningful story promise to be a meaningful "healing" experience for young audiences going to the theater.
“Schoolmates in Love” is showing in Vietnamese theaters./.
