According to the announcement from the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense, the target candidates for military pilot training are male youths aged 17 to 21; male active or retired military personnel or citizens who have completed their service in the People's Public Security Force aged 18 to 23 (as of 2026). Candidates must meet the following criteria: height of at least 1.65m, weight of at least 52kg, good health, clear political background, membership in the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , and a willingness to study and train to become military pilots of the Air Defense-Air Force Command.

The recruitment examination was conducted seriously, scientifically , and according to proper procedures; focusing on checking physical fitness, eyesight, and in-depth health indicators.

According to the plan, the working group of the Air Force Medical Institute will conduct recruitment examinations at high schools in Bac Ninh province from October 13 to 25, 2025. This will contribute to identifying and selecting outstanding young people with the qualities, abilities, and aspirations to contribute to the cause of national construction and defense; while also promoting the dissemination and education of the traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Army, arousing the pioneering spirit and sense of responsibility of young people in the cause of protecting the nation's airspace.
