(Baothanhhoa.vn) - From July 19 to 8:00 a.m. on July 21, due to heavy rain, more than 220 houses in the province had their roofs blown off or damaged. To minimize damage and ensure people's safety, local authorities and functional forces in the province are urgently supporting the reinforcement of houses and moving people and property to safe shelters.

According to information from the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense, implementing the Project on arranging and stabilizing residents in areas at high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous districts in the period of 2021-2025, up to now, in the communes of mountainous areas, 409 households have been mobilized to build houses in new, safe places; completed the construction of 8 new stable resettlement areas for 230 households and are currently continuing to build 20 new resettlement areas to soon stabilize the lives of 799 households.
