At 7:00 a.m., the storm center was at about 14.9 degrees North latitude, 127.8 degrees East longitude, with the strongest wind at level 8, gusting to level 10. The storm moved in a West Northwest direction at a speed of 15-20 km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 to 48 hours, the storm will move faster, West Northwest 20-25 km/h and may strengthen.
From the afternoon of October 3, the northeastern sea area of the East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-10, gusting to level 12, with waves 4-6 meters high. On October 4-5, the northern East Sea area, including the Hoang Sa special zone, is likely to experience strong winds of level 11-12, gusting to level 15. Ships operating in the dangerous area need to be extremely vigilant against strong winds, storms and big waves.
