Khanh Hoa aims to welcome 11.8 million visitors by 2025

(Fatherland) - Khanh Hoa aims to develop tourism in a sustainable direction in 2025, with 11.8 million overnight visitors and high tourism revenue.

The above target was given by Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, at the press conference on the province's socio -economic situation in 2024, which took place on the afternoon of January 6.

Mr. Thieu said that Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism last year had strong growth, the province's tourism targets all exceeded the set plan, increasing compared to the same period. The industry also witnessed a strong recovery in the number of international visitors such as Korean, Chinese, Kazakhstani, Uzbekistani,... and the number of domestic visitors increased during holidays, Tet and summer.

Specifically, in 2024, the locality will welcome more than 10.8 million overnight guests (equal to 135% of the plan and up 49% over the same period), including nearly 4.8 million international visitors (up 98%). Tourism revenue will be more than VND 53.1 trillion (equal to 145.62% of the plan and up 56.47% over 2023).

This success comes from the fact that Khanh Hoa tourism industry has organized many events and implemented many solutions to stimulate demand and attract tourists such as continuously implementing tourism promotion programs in localities of China (Shanghai, Zhejiang), Kazakhstan, Thailand, etc. Organizing to welcome foreign business delegations and travel agencies to survey Khanh Hoa tourism (Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.), coordinating with localities to connect destinations, and build products to serve cruise passengers.

Hotels, resorts, and entertainment venues in the province are also splendidly decorated, organizing many exciting cultural, tourism, and culinary activities to attract domestic and international tourists. Especially last summer, the province successfully organized large-scale events that attracted visitors during the summer such as the Sea Tourism Festival and the International Bay of Light Festival.

According to Mr. Thieu, in 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 5.2 million international visitors; tourism revenue reaches 60,000 billion VND. Simultaneously develop international and domestic tourism associated with high-quality, branded and highly competitive tourism products and services.

The Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also suggested that in the coming time, relevant units need to study solutions to prevent traffic congestion in Nha Trang city center, continue to remove difficulties in welcoming international cruise ships, and strengthen the fight against tax losses in the tourism sector,.../.
