Khanh Hoa plans to build a new railway line to South Van Phong

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced the adjustment of the General Planning of Ninh Hoa town to 2040, contributing to the development orientation of the southern area of ​​Van Phong Economic Zone.

On June 6, in Ninh Hoa town, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province presented the Decision to adjust the General Planning of Ninh Hoa town until 2040 to the leaders of the People's Committee of this town. Ninh Hoa town is located in the South of Van Phong Economic Zone with 9 communes and wards planned to be located in the economic zone.

According to the adjusted planning, the entire administrative boundary of Ninh Hoa town with an area of ​​over 117,940 hectares will be organized for urban development associated with logistics development to take advantage of traffic connecting the expressway, Nam Van Phong port with the Central Highlands region.

Regarding the land use planning of the town until 2040, there will be about 4,384 hectares of civil land (with 2,187.5 hectares of residential land); more than 18,638 hectares of non-civil land and more than 94,918 hectares of agricultural land and other functions.

In the orientation of developing the transport system, in addition to developing the road transport system, Khanh Hoa province also orients to develop the railway transport system in Ninh Hoa town by upgrading and gradually modernizing the existing North-South railway line; building a new high-speed railway line within the "High-speed railway project on the North-South axis"; especially building a new railway line connecting the Nam Van Phong port area according to the provincial planning and the general planning of Van Phong economic zone.

The locality also plans to build a grade-separated interchange at the intersection between Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway and Provincial Road 652G in the 2035-2040 period, helping to expand Ninh Hoa's connectivity to the south. In addition, in this phase, provincial road DT.652L will also be connected to the intersection between National Highway 26 and Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway.

Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, requested Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee to continue to prioritize resources for investment in urban technical infrastructure associated with social infrastructure. When implementing the Project to adjust the Town's General Planning, it is necessary to ensure compliance with legal regulations, avoid waste and loss, develop harmoniously, and preserve the landscape and environment.
