Khanh Hoa seeks to attract tourists from Kazakhstan and CIS countries

The survey and experience of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism products by 150 leading travel agents in Kazakhstan and CIS countries started from October 5-14, organized by Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited (Anex Vietnam).

A delegation of leading travel agents in Kazakhstan and CIS came to survey and experience tourism products in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan - General Director of Anex Vietnam, said that throughout the program, the delegation will survey tourism businesses and some tourist and entertainment locations with the aim of understanding tourism potentials and building suitable tourism programs to bring visitors from these countries to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Notably, the tourism promotion seminar opened on October 9, in the form of B2B, creating opportunities for hotels to directly introduce their unique products and services to travel agents from Kazakhstan and CIS countries, enhancing product recognition and optimizing sales efficiency for the 2024-2025 tourist season and the following years.

“Following the successful exploitation of the tourist market of Kazakhstan and CIS countries in the past two seasons, we organized this workshop in an effort to expand destination promotion, strongly spread the image of Vietnamese tourism to markets, and prepare for the tourist season of the following years,” said Mr. Tan.

In the context of the post-pandemic and volatile world situation, from October 2022 to present, Anex Vietnam is still operating charter flights from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 5-6 flights/week, bringing the total number of tourists up to more than 75,000 by August 2024. Currently, there are 14 flights per week from Kazakhstan to Cam Ranh airport, of which Anex Vietnam cooperates with Vietjet to operate 4 flights/week.

In mid-2023, Vietnam and Kazakhstan signed a bilateral visa exemption agreement for citizens holding ordinary passports for a temporary stay of no more than 30 days. With this advantage, in 2023, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 50,000 visitors from Kazakhstan, and more than 10,000 visitors from other Central Asian countries. Hotels in Khanh Hoa directly introduce their products and services to travel agents from Kazakhstan and CIS countries

The workshop was an opportunity for the unit to introduce tourism services to partners. "This is also an opportunity for us to grasp the needs and tastes of tourists, thereby adjusting the service methods, cuisine and room price policies, the goal of stimulating tourism, creating the image of a safe and friendly destination", Ms. Quyen shared.

According to Mr. Alex Maximov - representative of Deniz Tour Travel Company (Kazakhstan), Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is one of the most attractive destinations in Vietnam, with a mild, cool climate, beautiful beaches, well-invested and high-quality tourism infrastructure. Khanh Hoa also has accommodation facilities along the coast, on islands and right in the center of Nha Trang City, suitable for the needs of Kazakh people, but tourists are having difficulty in learning about the local culture due to language barriers and few direct flights.

Tourists from Kazakhstan and CIS countries are increasingly fond of Vietnam.

Sharing more about the Russian-speaking tourist community, Mr. Bui Quoc Dai - Deputy CEO of Anex Vietnam, said that this group of tourists is very interested in Khanh Hoa - Vietnam but faces difficulties because there are not many direct flights from their country to Vietnam and Khanh Hoa.

"This is a potential group of customers in the Vietnamese market, when their stay is more than 10 days for a vacation, they often choose 3-5 star accommodation facilities," Mr. Dai said. In the group of travel agents who went to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to survey this time, there were 15 units from Kyrgyzstan, wishing to have direct flights from their country to Khanh Hoa because there is only a direct flight from Kyrgyzstan to Phu Quoc.

In addition to direct flights, Mr. Dai also expressed that accommodation facilities and destinations in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa must ensure quality standards, develop new products to attract and retain tourists. He hoped for cooperation between sectors, management agencies, and businesses in the tourism sector to promote international tourist markets.
