Inauguration and handover of 3-storey classroom block to Lac An Secondary School, Binh Duong province

Attending the event were comrades: Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee; Tang Huu Phong, Deputy Head of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Bui Huu Toan, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and leaders of Bac Tan Uyen District Party Committee and People's Committee.

In May 2023, through the connection of SGGP Newspaper and the introduction of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, representatives of Giang Nam Logistics Joint Stock Company and SGGP Newspaper directly went to learn about the needs of the locality with an expected sponsorship package of about 2 billion VND. After a field survey, the leaders of Giang Nam Logistics Joint Stock Company decided to approve the program "Lighting up the belief - Overcoming difficulties to go to school", sponsoring the construction of a new classroom block on campus with a sponsorship level of 8.6 billion VND, including construction. Bac Tan Uyen District participated in many related items to complete the entire new project with an investment level equivalent to 7.3 billion VND. The total investment value of the project is nearly 15.9 billion VND.

Up to now, the project has been completed with a scale of 1 ground floor, 2 floors, total construction area of ^1,095m2 , forming a block of 6 completed classrooms. Along with that are related items such as stairs, reception hall, corridor, toilet area, electricity and water systems... serving the study and living of students, staff and teachers of the school.

The project is a practical activity to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; and also the 50th anniversary of the first issue of SGGP Newspaper (May 5, 1975 - May 5, 2025).

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Giang Nam Logistics Joint Stock Company said: "We understand that each spacious classroom today is a door opening to a bright future for students, a place to nurture dreams, nurture knowledge and compassion. We hope that students of Lac An Secondary School will increasingly progress, study well, and take steady steps on the path of education."

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of SGGP Newspaper Bui Thi Hong Suong emphasized: This is a major project in a series of activities under the program "Lighting up the faith - Overcoming difficulties to go to school" founded and organized by SGGP Newspaper, with the desire to encourage, motivate, and create conditions for students to continue to try, strive, and overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.

On the occasion of the inauguration and handover of this project, Thien Hanh Investment Joint Stock Company donated a sponsorship package of 200 million VND to support equipment for teaching and learning activities of the school and scholarships for students in difficult circumstances. In addition, TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company - TH true MILK also donated 4,800 boxes of fresh milk to the students of the school.

Program "Light up the faith - Overcome difficulties to go to school" by SGGP Newspaper initiated and organized the program in March 2023. To date, the program has mobilized over 28 billion VND to implement the following contents: building 3 projects with 16 classrooms and functional rooms for 3 schools in Binh Duong, Ben Tre, Quang Tri provinces (worth 21.4 billion VND); donating 3 learning libraries and organizing free dental examination and treatment for more than 1,000 students in Ben Tre province (750 million VND)...
