Tay Bac University is currently a multi-disciplinary, multi-field training center, playing a core role in providing high-quality human resources for the Northwest region. Currently, the school maintains 13 pedagogical university majors, 12 non-pedagogical majors, 2 postgraduate training majors, and accepts Laotian international students.

Implementing the education quality assessment program in 2025, Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center organized an external assessment survey of 6 university-level training programs. Including: Primary education, English pedagogy, agronomy, Geography pedagogy, Information Technology, Accounting. These are training programs of important significance in the school's multidisciplinary development strategy, both continuing to affirm its traditional strengths in the pedagogical sector and expanding into non-pedagogical and applied fields. In particular, some majors have achieved large and sustainable scale such as: Primary education, Accounting.

The survey team will conduct objective surveys and assessments to help Tay Bac University continue to improve the quality of training, meet the needs of quality assessment, and affirm its reputation and position in the region. At the same time, the assessment results are also the basis for perfecting the system and meeting the legal requirements as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training .
