Survey of landslide points on Thuong Thoi Tien embankment

(ĐTO) On the afternoon of August 14, the survey team of Dong Thap province came to conduct a field survey at the landslide site of Thuong Thoi Tien embankment in Thuong Phuoc commune.

The survey team, including the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and related departments and branches, together with the Institute of Marine Engineering and the Southern Institute of Water Resources, examined the terrain, the flow affecting the embankment, the level of erosion, etc. to have a basis for assessment as well as propose solutions to handle the landslide and subsidence incidents in the embankment area.

Previously, on August 12, a landslide occurred on Thuong Thoi Tien embankment, with a total length of about 55 m, damaging the entire embankment taly about 55 m, the sidewalk and embankment railing 30 m long, 8 m wide and about 1.5 m deep into the asphalt road.
