Survey and seal the automatic wastewater monitoring system at the Chu Trinh commune cassava starch processing factory

On April 25, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies and units to conduct a field survey and seal the automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring system at the Cassava Starch Processing Factory in Chu Trinh Commune, Cao Bang City, belonging to Khanh Ha Joint Stock Company.

The representative of the Environmental Management Department checked the system operation log.

According to Khanh Ha Joint Stock Company's report, the automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring system was completed on December 31, 2024 and inspected and calibrated by the Institute of Technology and Environment Inspection in January 2025.

During the working process, the Delegation fully reviewed the records and documents related to the system installation and operation process, including: list of monitoring parameters; technical specifications of the system; equipment user manual; design drawings and system description; standard operating procedures; operation, maintenance, inspection, calibration logbook; manual for troubleshooting and daily activity monitoring; certificates and reports on inspection and calibration results of monitoring equipment; system test records using standard solutions.

Regarding infrastructure, the Company has completed the installation of: station; sampling pump and water pipe system; fire alarm, smoke alarm, lightning protection equipment; surveillance cameras at the station and wastewater discharge point; equipment for receiving, transmitting and managing monitoring data; auxiliary equipment such as trash screens, sample containers, waste containers; temperature and humidity measuring equipment in the station.

The working group also controlled access to the account and password of the datalogger at the monitoring station in accordance with the provisions of Point a, Clause 4, Article 39 of Circular No. 10/2021/TT-BTNMT. At the time of inspection, the Company's wastewater monitoring system transmitted data signals to the receiving system of the Department of Agriculture and Environment via a static IP address every 5 minutes. However, the signals of the surveillance camera and the automatic sampling device had not been transmitted. The working group affixed seals to the automatic monitoring sampling cabinet and the power ports and connection ports on the datalogger.

Concluding the working session, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested Khanh Ha Joint Stock Company to continue to coordinate with the Center for Clean Water and Monitoring of Natural Resources and Environment (under the Department) to complete the transmission of signals from surveillance cameras and automatic sampling equipment to the Department in accordance with regulations.
