In Quang Hoa district, the working group surveyed the actual medical waste treatment work, inspected the cleaning process of medical waste treatment facilities, and ensured environmental hygiene at the district general hospital.

In 2024, the unit will treat nearly 3 tons of hazardous medical waste, about 56.8 tons of normal solid waste, 320 kg of recycled waste and nearly 7,000 m3 of wastewater treated by the hospital to meet technical standards. The hospital uses an incinerator and wastewater treatment system using Japanese AAO technology, the equipment was invested in 2015, and has shown signs of deterioration. The unit has organized training for managers, medical staff, waste collection and storage staff for over 100 times; communication activities for patients, relatives and the surrounding community to classify waste according to regulations.
Quang Hoa District General Hospital recommends: The province should pay attention to and direct the hospital to implement medical waste management, especially the current medical waste management software. Provide communication and propaganda products on medical waste management. Organize annual training courses for officials participating in medical environment work to improve the qualifications and capacity of civil servants and employees on medical environment laws. Provide funding to renovate and repair the medical and domestic wastewater collection system of the unit.

The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board has effectively implemented the propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 and its implementation instructions, raising the sense of responsibility of cadres, civil servants and employees.
At the monitoring session, members of the monitoring delegation and delegates focused on discussing issues of inadequacies and limitations in the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection such as: financial and technical support policies for industrial parks in remote areas; air pollution issues; environmental quality management and control; domestic solid waste management, cross-border wastewater pollution issues, etc.
