BHG - In the spirit of "open-mindedness, sincerity, listening, effectiveness, and avoiding formality," the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Van district has recently organized meetings and dialogues titled "The Front listens to the people." As a result, many opinions, suggestions, and grievances at the grassroots level have been promptly addressed, reducing the number of complaints and appeals to higher levels and fostering greater consensus among the people.
In 2025, the Fatherland Front of Dong Van district will proactively develop a plan to organize monthly and quarterly forums titled "The Fatherland Front Listens to the People." The forums will focus on receiving and listening to the opinions and aspirations of the people regarding socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security; and addressing limitations and obstacles in the implementation of policies in the area, such as: the implementation of national target programs, social security policies, education and training; resolutions on improving neglected gardens, eradicating outdated customs and practices; developing agriculture and agricultural products linked to tourism development; planning, planning management, and construction order management; implementing the New Rural Development program; and reforming and streamlining the political system's organizational structure for effective and efficient operation.

Attending the "Front Listening to the People" dialogue organized by the Fatherland Front of Dong Van district in Ho Quang Phin commune, one could clearly see the democratic, frank, disciplined, and close relationship between the Party and government leaders and the people. After listening to the commune leaders inform them about important issues regarding Party building, the political system, and socio-economic development targets in the locality, the people were given the opportunity to contribute their opinions. Many frank opinions and suggestions were raised on various aspects such as: construction work at schools in the area; issues related to drinking water and the construction of elevated reservoirs; food safety; businesses selling goods of unknown origin in front of school gates; and the arrangement of teachers to ensure teaching and learning... These opinions all reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and therefore were addressed by the competent authorities in a reasonable, fair, and people-pleasing manner.
Comrade Ha Van Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Agriculture and Environment Department of Dong Van District, directly answered some questions from the people at the dialogue, stating: "The people mainly work in agriculture, and what they are concerned about are support policies to make their labor and production more convenient. We have the responsibility to explain and answer their questions so they understand. It can be seen that the 'Front listens to the people' dialogue has contributed to promoting democracy, promptly identifying problems and emerging issues to resolve or propose to competent authorities to supplement and adjust policies to suit the local situation. Especially with this forum, those of us working in professional fields also get to listen to the thoughts and aspirations, receive suggestions, contributions, and feedback from the people to have measures to direct, manage, and organize the implementation of policies and resolutions that are relevant to reality."
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Van District, said: "With a spirit of innovation, the Fatherland Front always requires innovation in methods to fulfill its role and responsibilities. Therefore, every year, the Fatherland Front of the district organizes meetings to listen to the people's voices, directly answering and resolving issues within its authority; issues requiring verification or those outside its authority are received and submitted to the competent authorities for resolution. During the dialogue process, leaders of the Party Committee and government at all levels propagate, mobilize, and explain to the people the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws. This strengthens the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the State; and encourages them to work together to develop the economy and build a strong, prosperous, and beautiful homeland."
