High-tech farmer's mark
If in the past, the image of farmers was often associated with fields, plows, and buffaloes, now, there are gradually many farmers who own high-tech agricultural models (CNC). That is the mark of a new generation of farmers who know how to research, learn, and boldly apply CNC to create changes right on their homeland.
More than 13 years ago, Mr. Tran Thanh Ngoc (born in 1979, Don village, Truong Ninh commune) was just a worker in an animal feed production company. In 2012, he decided to borrow money and build a chicken coop with little capital. The coop was not solid, capital was limited, and diseases were constantly causing the chickens to decline, at times he fell into a deadlock. But instead of giving up, he devoted himself to researching documents, learning techniques, and then decided to invest in a modern, synchronized coop system from automatic feeding, drinking, and cooling systems to 7 continuously operating incubators. All are closed in a strict, scientific process.

Thanks to technology, his chickens are healthy and grow evenly. From the initial 1,000 parent chickens, his farm has now multiplied to more than 10,000, supplying over 10,000 breeding chickens each week to 300-350 households in the province and neighboring localities, such as Hue, Nghe An, Ha Tinh . Each year, the farm brings in about 6 billion VND in revenue, creating stable jobs for 10 workers with an income of 7-10 million VND/month.
Unlike Mr. Ngoc who succeeded thanks to livestock farming, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan (born in 1975, Sen Ngu commune) chose a different direction: Applying CNC greenhouses to grow melons. Not following the traditional, low-yield farming method, Mr. Tan decided to invest in a greenhouse system. Instead of cultivating outdoors, his melon beds are carefully covered in a solid structure, with a specialized barrier system. Inside the greenhouse, all factors are strictly controlled. Each melon plant is meticulously cared for, ensuring superior productivity and quality, bringing stable economic efficiency. From just a few acres of ineffective rice land, the greenhouse model has now brought Mr. Tan a revenue of hundreds of millions of VND per crop. In addition, he also raises tens of thousands of pigs and chickens, contributing to creating more jobs for many local workers.
The story of Mr. Ngoc and Mr. Tan is a strong affirmation for a new generation of farmers who not only enrich themselves but also become bright pioneers in applying CNC in production and livestock breeding, and are recognized and rewarded by all levels and sectors.
Farmer's scientist
In the production workshop of Tay Son Clean Agriculture Cooperative (Vinh Linh commune), Mr. Nguyen Dang Vuong (born in 1983) is diligently checking each batch of microbial feed, the result of many years of research and innovation from things that were thought to be discarded. From a pure farmer, he was voted as one of 32 "farmer scientists" in 2025 with the project "Successfully producing Tay Son microbial mixed feed products from agricultural by-products and waste for livestock farming".
Stemming from concerns about the waste and pollution from by-products discharged in markets, restaurants, and industrial kitchens, in 2021, Mr. Vuong started researching the formula for fermenting fish protein, combining it with agricultural by-products and microbial preparations to create nutritious animal feed. By 2022, Tay Son microbial mixed feed products were born.

The special feature of this food is that it utilizes fish protein combined with Pro-QTMIC microorganisms. Not only does it deodorize, add enzymes and beneficial bacteria to help animals digest easily, the product also limits diseases, reduces antibiotic dependence, reduces disease, increases lean meat ratio, and reduces costs by 30% compared to industrial feed. Not stopping there, Mr. Vuong also finds a way to close the agricultural cycle by composting straw and tree trunks after the crop with microorganisms to create organic fertilizer. Every year, the cooperative processes tens of thousands of cubic meters of by-products, creating tens of thousands of tons of organic fertilizer, both improving the soil and reducing pollution.
Coming to Tay Son Clean Agriculture Cooperative, everyone is impressed by the achievements that Mr. Vuong has worked hard to build. In the spacious barn, more than 6,000 livestock and poultry are raised with the food he researched. Each year, the Cooperative supplies more than 300 tons of microbiological food to 41 member households and associated farms. Besides, there is a chain of safe food stores in Dong Ha and Da Nang, where Tay Son branded pork, chicken, and vegetables are delivered to consumers. He said: "Farming today cannot rely solely on the experience left by our ancestors, but must go hand in hand with science and technology." That mindset has turned a farmer into a constant innovator. His initiatives not only reduce costs and increase profits, but also contribute to building a green, sustainable agriculture.
Farmers like Nguyen Dang Vuong, Tran Thanh Ngoc or Nguyen Thanh Tan are not only successful in production and livestock farming thanks to CNC application but also spread the spirit of innovation and creativity to the community. They are the important nuclei contributing to the sustainable development of Quang Tri agriculture, in a more modern and effective direction," affirmed Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Tran Tien Sy.
"During his journey of being attached to clean agriculture, Mr. Nguyen Dang Vuong not only affirmed himself with practical initiatives but was also recognized with many noble awards and titles from the provincial to central levels, typically: Encouragement prize at the 10th National Farmers' Technical Innovation Competition (2023-2024), second prize at the Quang Tri Province Creative Startup Competition in 2024 and 1 of 32 farmers' scientists nationwide in 2025...", Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Vinh Linh Commune Ha Thi Hue proudly talked about her members.
