At the Central Chemical Equipment Repair Workshop, Captain Duong Van Phu, in charge of the workshop, is instructing staff to inspect and repair chemical equipment for units, sharing: "To complete assigned tasks well, we regularly disseminate and require soldiers to properly follow technological processes and strictly comply with safety regulations and rules."

Not only the Central Chemical Equipment Repair Workshop but also all the agencies and units of Warehouse K64, the working atmosphere was urgent and exciting. Satisfied with the efficiency and sense of responsibility of the agencies and units, Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Thien, Political Commissar of Warehouse K64, proudly told us: “To meet the requirements of ensuring chemical equipment for the Central - Central Highlands region, on May 20, 1995, Lieutenant General Do Van Duc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army signed Decision No. 300/QD-TM on the establishment of Warehouse K64 under the Chemical Corps. Right from the beginning, the facilities were still lacking and the number of troops was limited, but Warehouse K64 quickly completed its organization and staff and went into operation. After 30 years of construction, development and continuous efforts, the officers and soldiers of Warehouse K64 have always completed their tasks well and excellently”.

Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hien, Commander of the Chemical Corps, inspected the initiatives and technical improvements of Warehouse K64.

Identifying the work of building the Party organization as a key task, playing a decisive role in completing all aspects of work, in recent years, the leaders and commanders of Warehouse K64 have thoroughly grasped, seriously implemented and concretized the resolutions and directives of the superiors in line with the actual situation and tasks of the unit; firmly maintained the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership, assigning individual responsibilities, promoting independence, creativity, autonomy, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility.

Organizations and unions play a good role ineducation and management, ensuring that cadres, employees and soldiers have correct awareness, standard actions, strive, practice, and voluntarily comply with State laws, military discipline and unit regulations.

Major General Trinh Thanh Dong, Political Commissar of the Chemical Corps, planted a souvenir tree and launched the Tree Planting Festival at Warehouse K64.

The unit strictly maintains combat readiness (SSCĐ); regularly organizes drills on combat plans to protect the unit, prevent fires and explosions, prevent leaks and collapses; proactively coordinates with local Party committees, authorities, organizations, and other agencies and units to effectively perform the tasks of natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue. Thanks to that, Warehouse K64 ensures absolute safety in all aspects, contributing to building a safe area, a safe belt, and together with local authorities and armed forces to build a solid defense area.

Talking to us, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Kien, Head of Warehouse K64 said: In order to successfully complete the task of ensuring technical safety, together with thoroughly organizing and strictly implementing Resolution No. 382 of the Central Military Party Committee on leading technical work in the new situation (now Resolution No. 1656 of the Central Military Commission on leading technical work until 2030 and the following years), the leaders and commanders of the Warehouse have proposed many policies and measures to lead, direct, organize and implement, creating a widespread emulation movement throughout the unit. The Warehouse proactively exploits and applies new science and technology in managing quantity, quality, synchronizing technical equipment and technical materials; implementing a smart warehouse management model. At the same time, promoting the movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements, contributing to increasing productivity, quality, ensuring safety and reducing hard labor for soldiers.

In the process of performing tasks, the leaders and commanders of the Warehouse always focus on improving the professional qualifications and skills, especially the ability to repair technical equipment for the team of technical officers and employees through technical training, performing tasks, preserving, maintaining, repairing, and storing technical equipment to serve regular and unexpected tasks. In particular, the Warehouse focuses on improving the quality of technical training; strictly maintaining internal rules and regulations and building a regular technical discipline, technical days and identifying this as both a measure to train the team of technical officers and employees, and a solution to improve the quality of technical work, meeting the immediate and long-term requirements and tasks of the Corps in general and the unit in particular.

Warehouse K64 distributes chemical weapons and equipment to units in the Central Highlands region.

Every year, Warehouse K64 preserves, maintains, repairs, transfers, and arranges hundreds of tons of technical equipment and technical materials of all kinds; receives and distributes them promptly and accurately to serve the training and combat readiness of units in the Central Highlands region. Performs well the inventory, technical inspection, and quality classification of technical equipment; promptly detects, organizes the transfer, isolation, and handling of dangerous level 5 goods to ensure absolute safety.

Warehouse K64 awarded funds to support the construction of gratitude houses for policy families in Hoa Khanh Nam ward (Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city).

In addition to its central political mission, Warehouse K64 also participates in ensuring technical support, transporting technical equipment, supplies and military equipment for the task of handling dioxin at Phu Cat airport (Binh Dinh), Da Nang airport, A So airport (Hue); ensuring technical support for the task of handling CS poison at Cu Mong Pass (Binh Dinh)...

Warehouse K64 cooperated with the sister unit Hong Quang Primary School (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City) to organize mass mobilization and twinning activities.

With the achieved results, Warehouse K64 was awarded 4 certificates of merit by the Ministry of National Defense; 12 times won the title of Determined to Win Unit, including 7 consecutive years (from 2017 to 2024) and hundreds of officers and soldiers were awarded.
