On January 20, in Dien Bien , a working delegation from the Department of Armaments, General Department of Engineering led by Colonel Bui Huy Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Armaments (General Department of Engineering), inspected safety work at Warehouse K79, Department of Logistics and Engineering, Military Region 2.

According to the report, Warehouse K79, Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 2 is responsible for managing, preserving, maintaining, and storing a large amount of weapons, equipment, and ammunition (VKKTĐD), diverse in types, many quality levels, most of which have been produced for many years, some types of VKKTĐD are more than 50 years old, their quality is gradually deteriorating, significantly affecting the management, preservation, and storage work.

However, the warehouse system is basically and solidly built without cracks or subsidence, 100% of the warehouses have heat-resistant ceilings and full facilities, equipment, and auxiliary works (anti-explosion embankments, direct lightning protection systems, sensors, water tanks, etc.), fire-fighting water systems, roof cooling, operating well, ensuring absolute safety for the warehouse system; the technical assurance facilities for technical products and ammunition are basically built according to regulations with full equipment, machinery, and regular construction signs, meeting the technical assurance needs according to the task.

In particular, the staff is well-trained, 100% have university degrees, good moral qualities, exemplary, energetic, enthusiastic, responsible, have a high sense of organization, discipline and responsibility, ready to receive and complete assigned tasks well; the technical staff of the Military Weapons is highly qualified and skilled, trained and provided with basic training in technical assurance for equipment, machinery and facilities, meeting the requirements of the tasks well; the combat fortification system is regularly reinforced; coordination in fire prevention and fighting is always focused on; the breakthrough "Improving training quality" is well implemented, especially training for technical and professional staff with 35 people/79 hours, achieving 100 plans in 2024; testing vocational skills with 25 people/11 days, 100% meeting the requirements, of which the rate of good and excellent is more than 85%...

Concluding the inspection, Colonel Bui Huy Ngoc emphasized: Warehouse K79 is neatly planned, tidy, the equipment is scientifically arranged, convenient for transportation and relocation; the warehouse hygiene and safety work is clean, airy, the book system is complete, and records are clear; the technical staff has a firm grasp of industry expertise, regulations at all levels on safety rules, and meets the requirements of the task.

On behalf of the inspection team, Colonel Bui Huy Ngoc also noted that Warehouse K79 continues to direct the work of preventing and fighting fires and forest fires; strictly maintain the duty regime, especially during the Lunar New Year; attach importance to patrolling and guarding work; actively propagate to raise awareness and sense of responsibility for cadres, employees, non-commissioned officers and soldiers about the regulations of the industry as well as the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and military discipline; do a good job of preparing forces and means, grasping the security situation of the area, and being ready to effectively handle arising situations...

According to the plan, the inspection team of the Department of Armaments, General Department of Engineering will continue to inspect the safety assurance work for Warehouse K28, Department of Logistics - Engineering of Military Region 2.
