About 12,000 athletes participate in VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025

VHO - Taking place from October 10 to 12 at Van Mieu Square (Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province), the VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 is expected to attract about 12,000 domestic and international athletes who will not only be challenged physically but also immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere, explore the pure beauty of Dong Thap lotus land and spread the message of physical prosperity.

Under the direction of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, Dong Thap Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( VPBank ) and Nexus Media Joint Stock Company (Nexus Sport Events) jointly organized the tournament, promising to bring the most exciting music - sports - culture - tourism festival in the Southwest region.

Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee spoke at the press conference to introduce the award.

At the press conference introducing the tournament on the afternoon of August 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee said that VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 will compete in 4 distances including 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km, suitable for both professional athletes, amateur runners, families and children.

The total prize value this year is up to 218,000,000 VND. At the same time, the age group prize level has also been increased to 42,000,000 VND to encourage diverse participation from all ages and create more motivation to conquer the race track.

The 2025 season has a special meaning as it is held for the first time after the merger of Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces, making the race a symbol of integration - connection - starting a new development journey of a land rich in historical traditions, culture and love of sports.

According to the Organizing Committee, the event is the largest in the Southwest region in terms of the number of participants and professionalism. Outstanding activities that accompany the event include the Southwest Food Festival and the grand Music Night.

The race route will take athletes through typical landmarks, bearing the cultural imprint and unique landscape of the Red Lotus land such as Van Mieu Square - the heart of Cao Lanh city, the majestic Cao Lanh bridge across the Tien River, tree-lined roads, and vibrant central streets with the colors of the West.

The race course has been certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) to provide an international-class playground.

VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 also impressed with the message of building a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness of environmental protection.

The Organizing Committee is committed to contributing a portion of the revenue from the tournament to research and conservation activities for the Red-crowned Crane - a rare ecological symbol and the pride of Dong Thap province, demonstrating social responsibility and commitment to sustainable development.

The event series will open with a grand music party taking place on the night of October 11, right before the official competition day.

The music night was elaborately staged with a modern stage, eye-catching effects and the participation of a series of the most popular young artists today such as: Isaac, Phuong My Chi, ... promising to become a "catalyst" to help spread the message of positive and dynamic living, adding energy to about 12,000 athletes before the start.

This year's tournament continues to receive the support of many athletes.

This year, the 800m children's race will be held under the name Kun Fun Run Dong Thap.
