Commencement of construction of Ring Road 4 project, Ho Chi Minh City section through Binh Duong

Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, the section passing through Binh Duong province, is 47.8 km long, with a scale of 8 complete expressway lanes, and a design speed of 100 km/h. The section passing through Binh Duong was approved by the Provincial People's Council for independent investment and implementation, and the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee was assigned as the implementing authority.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and leaders of Binh Duong province ordered the groundbreaking ceremony of the project.

Phase 1 will invest in a full 4-lane highway, including a continuous emergency lane with a roadbed width of 25.5 m and a design speed of 100 km/h.

For the section from VSIP 2A Industrial Park to My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park, synchronous investment is made according to the scale of 62 m, 10 lanes, design speed of 80 km/h.

In addition, investment will be made in allocating interconnecting and direct intersections and building parallel roads on both sides of the route to ensure technical factors of the expressway and regional traffic connections.

When completed, the project will connect with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 and Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, playing a very important role in the circulation and transportation of goods, serving the requirements of socio -economic development, promoting the development of satellite cities and expanding new development space for the entire key economic region of the South.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project, the section passing through Binh Duong province, has met the conditions to start construction today, showing that decentralization, delegation of authority, and assignment of local authority as the competent authority is correct, has reduced many procedures, and shortened the time.

For the remaining sections, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces to urgently carry out investment preparation procedures after the National Assembly approves the project to start construction in early 2026.

“Completing the Ring Road 4 route will help form an industrial, urban, service, and logistics belt, creating a very effective inter-sectoral and inter-local linkage chain,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province inaugurated the following roads: DT 743, DT 746 and DT 747B which have been fully invested. These are vital roads, with regional and inter-regional connectivity.
