Groundbreaking ceremony of Da Nang Downtown high-end cultural, commercial and service park project

On August 19, Sun Group Corporation coordinated with the People's Committee of Da Nang City to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Da Nang Downtown high-end cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park project in Hoa Cuong ward.

The project is built on an area of nearly 77 hectares, located on the “diamond” land along the Han River, between Tran Thi Ly Bridge and Tien Son Bridge. The project's groundbreaking marks a major turning point in the city's economic and tourism development strategy, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The project has a total investment of nearly 80,000 billion VND, including a cultural and entertainment park, a 4,000-seat theater, a riverside commercial area, a green park embracing the water, and a 69-storey iconic tower, expected to be the tallest building in the Central region. This is considered a "miniature city" in the heart of Da Nang , a place where cultural, entertainment and night-time economic experiences converge with the ambition to be on par with famous complexes in Asia.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that the project will be a new driving force for development, increasing the competitiveness of the local economy and perfecting tourism infrastructure, promoting the development of service, trade and cultural and artistic sectors.

The project is invested and built in a prime location, with a systematic, tight and modern master plan, Da Nang Downtown will create conditions for night-time economic development, attract international visitors and enhance the city's tourism experience.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of Sun Group in the Central Region, said that the project will provide a variety of amenities: five-star hotel, luxury apartments, first-class offices, shopping malls, restaurants, bars, observatories, along with outdoor art performances, fireworks, activating the 24/7 lifestyle. In particular, the highlight of the cultural park is designed to be “green”, in harmony with nature, water and cultural activities, bringing a unique experience to visitors.

To ensure effective project implementation, Sun Group has signed a contract with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam. The Bank has committed to providing a maximum credit of VND 67,700 billion, demonstrating investors' confidence in the profitability and sustainable development potential of Da Nang Downtown.

The project not only expands the classy tourism ecosystem of the city on the Han River, but also consolidates Da Nang's position on the international tourism map, expecting to become a new symbol, connecting the past, present and future, contributing to realizing the aspiration of "The most worth-visiting, worth-living, worth-investing city in Vietnam"./.
