Construction of a house for former People's Police Officers began

- On July 17, in Vu Lang commune, Lang Son province, the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Association of Former People's Public Security Officers (CAND) coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the first house out of a total of 101 houses built for former comrades of the People's Public Security in 20 provinces and cities across the country, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Association of Former Police Officers, the Provincial Police; leaders of the Party Committee and authorities of Vu Lang commune, along with representatives of professional departments of the Provincial Police and a large number of local people.

The house was started to be built Comrade Hoang Van Dao (born in 1958, residing in Lien Son village, Vu Lang commune, Lang Son province), member of the Association of Former Police Officers of Vu Lang commune, former officer of the Mobile Police Department, Lang Son Provincial Police. Comrade Dao currently lives alone in a level 4 house built in 2004 with an area of about 30 square meters, a cement roof, cracked brick walls, damp floors, leaky roof... seriously degraded, not ensuring safety for living.

The provincial police have surveyed the situation and reported, proposing that the Ministry of Public Security support the construction of a new house for Comrade Dao, with a total estimated cost of about 120 million VND (of which, the Ministry of Public Security supports 60 million VND; the rest is mobilized from socialized resources). In addition, support for additional construction days , construction materials and essential household items to help Comrade Dao stabilize his life.

At the ceremony, delegates presented the support funds and performed the groundbreaking ceremony to start the construction of the model house. Immediately after that, localities with former police officers eligible for support will simultaneously start construction, striving to complete all 101 houses nationwide before August 15, 2025.
