Construction of Waste Transfer Station begins

(CT) - On July 22, Long Tuyen ward, Can Tho city held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a waste transfer station in Binh Pho A area, Long Tuyen ward.

Leaders of Long Tuyen ward and construction unit performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Waste Transfer Station Construction Project in the ward.

The waste transfer station has a total area of 2,700m2 , with a total cost of more than 27.6 billion VND, constructed by the Joint Venture of Binh Minh Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company and CDM Environmental Technology One Member Co., Ltd. When completed and put into use, the waste transfer station will reduce the number of non-fixed waste collection points, collect waste continuously, transport waste to the solid waste treatment area conveniently and easily, ensuring the landscape, environmental sanitation, traffic safety... The new investment in gas and wastewater treatment systems, washing systems, and deodorizing spraying systems aims to ensure the hygiene of waste collection and transportation vehicles during the waste collection process...

The project is expected to be completed and put into use in December 2025.
