Preserving and promoting the historical values of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Veterans Association at all levels in the province proactively implemented many exciting and practical activities, such as: Organizing visits to old battlefields in the provinces of the Central Highlands and Southeast regions; visiting and presenting gifts to outstanding veterans in the resistance war against the US to save the country; exchanging "50 years of forever resounding heroic epic of victory"... Historical witnesses shared about the heroic past of our army and people in the great resistance war against the US. Hearing about the heroic years of resistance of the nation, teacher Do Thi Chuyen, Tu Son Secondary School, was moved: The stories of the war veterans have aroused the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of indomitable and loyal struggle, helping the younger generation understand the historical and revolutionary values, creating motivation and determination to excel in studying, working, building and defending the Fatherland.
Arousing patriotism, creativity and youthfulness in preserving the eternal values of national culture and history, each cadre and member of the Veterans Association has passed on the revolutionary "fire" to the younger generation about the uncompromising struggle against the enemy, about the heroes who liberated the nation, and about the responsibility of the younger generation for developing and protecting the Fatherland.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuat, Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Thuan Thanh town, said: Talking about revolutionary traditions to the young generation not only contributes to cultivating revolutionary ethics but also honors the beauty of traditions; strengthens the young generation's belief in the Party and in the cause of innovation of our country. In order to effectively educate about traditions, the Association actively propagates the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; affirms national sovereignty , fights against plots and tricks of reactionary and hostile forces; guides the young generation to receive and promptly and selectively update the development trends of information technology, digital technology, social networks and the achievements of the 4.0 revolution. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Association of War Veterans of Thuan Thanh town has organized 26 talks about revolutionary traditions for 20,000 students at schools in the area.
With the spirit of solidarity and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the War Veterans Association at all levels in the province continues to promote the tradition and morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking"; beautifying the image of revolutionary soldiers in the new period, contributing to building a rich, beautiful and civilized homeland.
