Nearly 800 candidates compete in the national youth informatics contest in the Central region

(QNO) - On the morning of June 29, in Da Nang City, the 31st National Youth Informatics Competition - 2025, Central region round took place.

The Central region round is hosted by Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU), Danang University. This is a national-scale competition organized annually by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology , the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam Association for Information Technology.

This round has nearly 800 contestants from provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region competing. Contestants participate in many contest contents such as algorithm programming, creative products, mathematical and algorithmic thinking in the contest boards from primary to high school. The creative product contest is the highlight to encourage the ability to apply technology to real life.

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho - Vice Principal of VKU, VKU is a unit that regularly organizes and hosts large academic playgrounds such as: Central Highlands - Central Region Informatics Olympiad, information security competition, artificial intelligence competition (Danang AI for Life), VNNOI top programming competition, summer and winter Informatics summer camps for excellent students in the region...

"In this hosting, VKU has invested in 400 desktop computers, fully installed specialized software according to the technical requirements of the organizing committee. At the same time, 20 standard examination rooms were arranged, including programming rooms, algorithmic thinking rooms and spaces for displaying and evaluating creative products; mobilizing nearly 50 highly qualified and experienced staff, lecturers and students to participate in technical and logistical support" - Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho said.

The Central region competitions will take place in the morning and afternoon of June 29. The final round of the 31st National Youth Informatics Competition - 2025 will take place in Hue City.
