This afternoon, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security , the Hanoi People's Committee and other agencies to hold a press conference on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) said that as of today, there are 6 forces participating in the celebration: traditional torch and pyre procession, ceremonial fireworks, air force saluting, parade and marching forces; forces standing in the background; forces forming shapes and letters....
In which, the parade and marching bloc includes: 4 ceremonial blocs; 43 blocs representing armed forces (26 army blocs, 17 police blocs; foreign army blocs); military vehicles, artillery , special police vehicles; sea parade forces; 13 mass parade blocs.

The Ministry of Defense has invited four countries to send troops to participate in the parade: China, Laos, Russia, and Cambodia. Major General Tong Van Thanh said that all four countries have accepted the invitation, and Russian, Lao, and Cambodian soldiers have arrived in Vietnam and participated in joint training at Ba Dinh Square last night. Meanwhile, China's parade troops will arrive in Vietnam at the end of August.
The parade program includes: traditional torch procession; ceremonial fireworks; Air Force salute.
Parade, march of the blocks, in order: Parade of the Honor Block; parade of the walking blocks (order: Vietnam People's Army blocks, foreign army blocks, Militia and Self-Defense Force; Police blocks); parade of military vehicles and artillery; special police vehicles; parade of armed forces at sea (transmitting images to Ba Dinh); parade of the masses; parade of the Culture and Sports Block.
Major General Tong Van Thanh shared that the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security have directed the organization of training for the forces since the beginning of May, organizing 4 joint training sessions and 5 combined training sessions. Last night's combined training session in particular was of good quality. All units and forces have completed the training program well, 100% of officers and soldiers have good awareness, high determination, and are excited to carry out their tasks.
Affirming great achievements over 80 years
Regarding the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements, the Ministry of National Defense participated through indoor exhibition booths with the theme "Development Creation" recreating the historical milestones of the Vietnam People's Army in its 80-year journey with the country; applying technology in displaying, introducing tradition and modernity; having an experience area to increase interaction with visitors.
In addition, the Ministry also participated in the outdoor exhibition with the theme "Sword and Shield", covering an area of 23,569 square meters, with many defense products, types of weapons, and modern equipment from defense units and enterprises.

Also at the press conference, leaders of ministries and sectors inaugurated a press center to serve the exhibition of the country's achievements with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" which will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said the exhibition is an event of profound political, historical and cultural significance, part of a series of commemorative activities to honor history and introduce the outstanding achievements of the Party, State and people during 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country.
At the same time, the event affirmed the leadership role of the Party, the management of the State, along with the spirit of solidarity, creativity and efforts of the entire nation, contributing to promoting the strength of great national unity.
Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that the activities of the Press Center will contribute to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam; affirming the great achievements over 80 years of building, protecting and developing the Fatherland...

The Press Center will take on the role of providing information, supporting services and promptly handling operational requests, ensuring that domestic and foreign reporters have quick, accurate and complete access.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that press information work is of special importance to the success of the exhibition. Key press agencies and reporters have closely followed the scene, exploited diverse perspectives, thereby contributing to arousing pride, honoring the resilient will and aspirations of the Vietnamese people.
