On May 30, the 2025 Global Vietnamese Singing Contest was officially announced, with the final night scheduled to be held in Hanoi in October.

This year’s competition does not exploit contestants from Europe like the previous two seasons, but focuses entirely on Vietnam. Accordingly, the award-winning contestants have the opportunity to gain practical experience through European tours, performing for overseas Vietnamese to develop their abilities.

Head of the Organizing Committee Henry Nguyen said that the competition, which will be held for the first time in 2023, is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 16 to 60, both amateur and professional.

Entering its third season, the competition applies many new platforms such as interactive livestream, behind-the-scenes video production, contestant diaries to reach young audiences on platforms such as Facebook Reel, TikTok...

The competition gathered famous and experienced judges such as musician Luu Thien Huong (Head of the Jury), famous singer Y Lan, singer Manh Dinh, "Rock Queen" Ngoc Anh, singer Sy Luan, singer Giang Hong Ngoc, pipa artist Vu Dieu Thao...

The competition's coaching board includes: Singer Sy Luan (Head of Coaching Board), singer Giang Hong Ngoc (Deputy Head of Coaching Board), "Rock Queen" Ngoc Anh, singer Manh Dinh, musician Duong Truong Giang...

Pipa artist Vu Dieu Thao said that with 20 years of experience as a lecturer and judge of music competitions, she hopes to contribute to the quality of the competition, finding talented contestants. Vu Dieu Thao hopes that contestants will not only participate in the competition as contestants, but also with the mindset of an artist, with performances that touch the hearts of viewers.

From 80 excellent candidates after the preliminary and semi-final rounds, 40 candidates will participate in the final round, taking place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The contest will award 1 Champion and 2 Runner-up prizes for each genre: Romantic (old music, Bolero...), Folk - Red music, Light music (Pop, Rock, R&B...) and many awards such as: Most favorite contestant award, Promising contestant award, Jury's Choice award, Impressive performance contestant award, National identity honoring award...
