Foreign investors reversed to net selling, VN-Index slightly declined.

On June 18th, short-term profit-taking pressure caused market volatility at the beginning of the session, but buying pressure quickly returned, pushing the VN-Index above 1,350 points. In the afternoon, increased selling pressure in the banking and securities sectors caused the market to fall. At the close of the session, the VN-Index decreased by 0.86 points to 1,346.83 points.

In this session, stocks that positively impacted the VN-Index included: VHM, GAS, TCB, STB, HPG, VIC,ACB , GVR, CTD, KDH, contributing over 1.76 points to the increase. Conversely, stocks such as VCB, FPT, VPB, VPL, BID, LPB, CTG, MWG, HVN, and EIB were heavily sold, subtracting over 4.12 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session was similar to the previous session, reaching over 18,536.34 billion VND.

Foreign investors reversed their position, selling net nearly 272 billion VND on the HoSE exchange during this session. On the buying side, HPG shares were the most heavily bought, with a value exceeding 192 billion VND, followed by MSB (103 billion VND),SHB (52 billion VND), NVL (44 billion VND), etc. Conversely, FPT was the most heavily sold (154 billion VND), followed by STB (76 billion VND), VCI (60 billion VND), VNM (44 billion VND), etc.

Today's session saw VN30 stocks close with 13 gainers, 2 unchanged, and 15 losers.

Specifically, STB increased by 2.61%, VHM by 2.59%, GAS by 2.31%, TCB by 1.23%, and HPG by 1.12%.

Stocks such as ACB, BCM, BVH, GVR, HDB, MBB, VIC, and VRE saw slight increases; SSB and VJC remained at the reference price.

Conversely, VPB fell 1.6%,FPT fell 1.52%, LPB fell 1.24%, MWG fell 1.09%, and SSI fell 1.05%.

The remaining stocks: BID, CTG, MSN, PLX, SAB, SHB, TPB, VCB, VIB, VNM saw slight declines.

In terms of sectors, steel stocks, except for HPG which rose 1.12%, showed little change. Specifically, VCA saw a slight increase, HMC, HSG, SMC, and TLH remained unchanged, while DTL and NKG experienced slight decreases.

The securities sector closed down 0.37%. Besides SSI mentioned above, VND fell 1.49%, TVS fell 1.42%, VDS fell 1.4%, DSC fell 1.0%, while AGR, CTS, ORS, TCI, and VCI saw slight declines. On the upside, APG rose 2.47%, BSI rose 1.11%, FTS, HCM, TVB, and VIX saw slight gains, while DSE remained unchanged.

Similarly, the banking sector stocks closed down 0.3%. Besides the VN30 group stocks ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, and VIB mentioned above, other stocks such as EIB fell 1.71%, while MSB, OCB, and NAB saw slight declines.

Meanwhile, real estate stocks traded quite positively, closing the session up 0.79%. Besides VHM, VIC, and VRE mentioned above, other stocks that saw strong gains included LDG and LGL (reaching the ceiling price), NVT (up 3.85%), and TDH (up 4.32%). Conversely, DTA fell 2.3%, ITC fell 2.47%, KHG fell 2.12%, QCG fell 1.72%, SCR fell 2.72%, SGR fell 1.62%, TEG fell 3.28%, and VRC fell 2.34%...

Other sectors such as materials for production, raw materials, utilities, and energy saw slight increases.

Conversely, software declined by 1.4%, telecommunications by 1.27%, consumer services by 1%, while insurance, transportation, distribution and retail of durable goods, consumer and decorative goods, food and beverages, and tobacco saw slight decreases.

* The Vietnamese stock market index fluctuated today, with the VNXALL-Index closing down 2.23 points (-0.10%) at 2,216.4 points. Trading volume reached 818.03 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 20,065.87 billion. Across the market, 131 stocks increased in price, 104 remained unchanged, and 215 decreased.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 228.20 points, down 0.04% (-0.02%). Total trading volume reached over 70.60 million shares, with a corresponding transaction value of over 1,327.088 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, there were 66 gainers, 67 unchanged stocks, and 75 losers.

The HNX30 index closed down 1.97 points (-0.42%) at 470.68 points. Trading volume reached approximately 45.61 million units, with a corresponding value of over 1,018.529 billion VND. Among the HNX30 stocks, 7 ended the trading day higher, 9 remained unchanged, and 14 declined.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index rose, closing at 98.89 points, up 0.02 points (+0.02%). Total market liquidity reached over 52.29 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 494.234 billion VND. Among UPCoM stocks, 158 ended the trading day higher, 108 remained unchanged, and 164 declined.

* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 0.86 points (-0.06%) at 1,346.83 points. Trading volume reached over 840.36 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 20,052.63 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 108 gainers, 67 unchanged stocks, and 184 losers.

The VN30 index rose 1.6 points (+0.11%) to 1,432.99 points. Trading volume reached over 302.38 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 9,278.42 billion. At the end of the trading day, 13 VN30 stocks increased, 2 remained unchanged, and 15 decreased.

The top 5 stocks with the highest trading volume were NVL (over 38.61 million units), HPG (over 31.46 million units), MBB (over 26.18 million units), TCB (over 17.75 million units), and VCG (over 15.29 million units).

The top 5 gainers were BCG (6.99%), FCM (6.94%), LGL (6.94%), LDG (6.93%), and TCD (6.88%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price drops were DCL (-6.98%), SFG (-6.92%), NAV (-4.76%), HSL (-4.53%), and CDC (-4.40%).

* Today's derivatives market saw 172,057 contracts traded, with a value exceeding VND 24,552.49 billion.
