Techcombank shares hit a new peak, helping the assets of Mr. Ho Hung Anh's two children reach VND10,133 billion, an increase of more than VND1,600 billion since the beginning of the year.
At the end of the trading session on May 13, TCB shares of Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) reached a price of VND29,400, the highest ever. Trading volume in the session reached more than 13 million units. Since the beginning of the year, TCB shares' market price has increased by more than 19%.
Along with the rise of TCB shares, the assets of this company's shareholders also increased. According to the 2024 management report, this bank has three shareholders holding more than 1% of capital but under 30 years old, including Mr. Ho Anh Minh, Ms. Ho Thuy Anh and Ms. Ho Minh Anh. All three are children of Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank.
Of which, Ms. Ho Thuy Anh and Mr. Ho Anh Minh each own 344.7 million TCB shares, equivalent to 4.88% of capital. With this stock reaching a new peak, the assets of these two people both reached 10,133 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,600 billion VND since the beginning of the year. Ms. Ho Minh Anh, the youngest daughter of the Chairman of Techcombank, owns 144.1 million TCB shares, worth 4,200 billion VND.
Ms. Ho Thuy Anh, born in 2001, is the youngest person on the stock exchange to own assets of more than 10,000 billion VND. She first owned TCB shares in July 2021 when she spent about 1,100 billion VND to buy 22.5 million units.
Mr. Ho Anh Minh, born on September 17, 1995, is the General Director of Masterise Group - a company operating mainly in the field of investment and development of high-end housing. In addition, this businessman also holds 10% of the capital of 1Matrix - a blockchain network research unit.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ho Hung Anh owns assets of 1.9 billion USD, an increase of 200 million USD since the beginning of the year, according to Forbes. However, this billionaire only directly holds 1.11% of Techcombank's capital.
In 2025, Techcombank targets credit growth of about 16.4%, pre-tax profit of VND31,500 billion, up 14.4% over the previous year. The bad debt ratio remains below 1.5%.
In the first quarter of this year, Techcombank was the private bank with the highest pre-tax profit of VND7,236 billion, down slightly by 7.3% compared to the same period last year. Total assets increased by 11.7% to nearly VND990,000 billion, outstanding credit reached VND665,300 billion.
