On the afternoon of September 8th, a large fire broke out in the acacia forest area of ​​Quy Quoc village, Bang Hanh commune. The flames spread rapidly, directly threatening the adjacent acacia forest area of ​​Quy Quan village.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Bang Hanh commune police mobilized forces, coordinating with the commune's military , local security teams, militia from Quy Quoc, Quy Quan, Minh Khai, Minh Tuong, and Chang villages, along with a large number of local residents, to quickly implement a firefighting plan. The forces divided into several teams, creating firebreaks, using makeshift tools and available equipment to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. After nearly 3 hours of effort, the fire was completely brought under control.
